When contacted, scriptwriter Swati Pandey said, "Karan pretends to have lost his mental balance. He evokes the sympathy of the sisters, particularly Purva, who feels bad for him. She convinces Mihir to let Karan re-enter the house so that he could be looked after. Mihir's mother Kamini originally opposes the idea, but gives in after some amount of coaxing by Mihir and Purva."
With Karan back in the house, it will be easy for him to carry out his motives. His first target is Mihar as he blames Mihir for his mother's death. "Karan believes that Mihir's death would be a huge shock for Purva and Smriti. This would be the track of the story for the next two weeks," added Swati.
When we spoke to Karan he said that he is out to get revenge for his mother's death. "I will ensure that my plan is successful. I have become heartless and cruel and I will ensure that I make their life a living hell. Only God can save them now. I have become bloodthirsty and am out for revenge," he said.
Further about the audiences reactions to his character he said, "People have liked me in my new avatar and I am glad that they are liking my work."
In addition, there will be a track where Smriti starts working at a new company to assert her independence.
