After Rajeev Khandelwal and Prachi Desai, Amit Jain seems to be the next actor from the television industry to join the bandwagon of actors making their foray into Bollywood...

After his stint on television, Amit Jain is now eyeing on Bollywood. He was last seen in 9X's Mere Apne and before that, he created waves with Sony's Thodi Khushi Thode Gham.

"I've been on a break since Mere Apne went off air. I think it's a well deserved break after 6 years of non-stop working," says Amit.

For now the actor is looking out for opportunities in films. "For any television actor the next big step is definitely Bollywood. Due to my hectic schedules, I did not get enough time to meet the producers-directors in the film industry. I am now busy preparing my self for this genre," he verbalizes.

"It's been six years since I have done a photo shoot. So now my priority is to get that done, and then I will start meeting the producers and directors," he adds.

Amit also plans to come out with a magazine of 20 pages which will include his pictures. "I thought it will be a unique way. Besides, I will be posting my pictures on my web site also", says he.

So is there any chance to see you on television? "Definitely not for the next three months. Let's see what the future has in store for me, but currently I am busy with my interest in movies," he concludes.

Well, we sure hope that Amit has a successful journey in Bollywood!!

Amit Jain in Saat Phere; Rajshri re-enters..

Amit Jain enters Zee's Saat Phere; Saloni makes her comeback to provide the final big twist in the story line..

Zee TV's Saat Phere, produced by Sphere Origin which is winding up this month is all set for a logical ending.

With this, Amit Jain who was last seen in Mere Apne makes his entry in the show.

According to our source, "Amit entered the show yesterday, and soon Rajshri Vaidya aka Saloni will also make her comeback. Amit essays the role of Rajveer's (Ali Merchant) elder brother".

We called Amit Jain who said, "I am playing the role of Daksh, elder brother to Rajveer. I am the perfect guy any female would look forward to. Though he is brought up in a modern setup, he is very cultured. He has just returned from USA".

When asked about his very short stint in the show Amit avers, "At present, I cannot commit myself to long running roles. This cameo suited me a lot, and above all the character I essay is of a perfect guy (smiles)".

Rajshri Vaidya aka Saloni will be making her comeback in tonight's episode. The actress talked to Telly Buzz and said, "I would not call this as my re-entry, but yes, I am back in the show. I was on leave due to health issues".

With her entry, there will be a big twist that will unfold. According to our source, "Saloni happens to be the 'Daasa' of Daksh and Rajveer; she is the one who has brought them up. She is like a God figure to both the boys. Daksh will also have a love interest in the show, but that cannot be revealed right now".

If sources are to be believed, Sharad Kelkar might also be back for the last few episodes. "Sharad is presently on the sets. He might be seen in the last three episodes", informs our source.

However, when we called Sharad he said, "Yes, I am on the sets right now. But I dropped over to meet my friends. I am not aware whether I will be seen in the show again".

Well, with all the central characters getting back, it looks as though Zee TV's long running show is on course for a great end...

Amit Jain in Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil..

Amit Jain will play the childhood friend of Heer in the Star Plus show..

Amit Jain who was last seen in Zee's Saat Phere is all set for his new avtar with Star Plus' Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil.

The actor plays an IG Officer who is very trendy when it comes to his dressing style.

Talking about his role, Amit Jain says, "I play the role of Rajveer, who is born and brought up at Ambala. I have done my training at Mumbai and my posting at present is in Ludhiana. Rajveer happens to be the childhood friend of Heer and they have a good rapport going. As the story moves on, he gets close to Prem and all the three become good friends".

On playing an IG for the first time, Amit states, "I should be the youngest IG on television (smiles). But I am not the serious looking police officer. When in duty, I have the professional attitude, but when I am with family and friends, the Punjabi flavor is seen in me. I always appear in civil clothes and get to wear the trendy gun jacket".

When asked about the duration of the role Amit quips, "I can tell you that it is surely not a cameo; as I have heard that the character will more or less be a permanent fixture in the story line".

On the probable love triangle creeping with Heer and Prem, the actor verbalizes, "We three are very good friends, and my character is totally positive".

Now let's see how the story moves with the entry of the good friend..

Amit Jain's Love Dilemma!

Amit's co-star in Imagine's Basera Priya Bhatija and her husband Jatin Shah have taken it on them to find a lady love for him...

Amit Jain can smoothly handle the scores of proposals that he gets from girls across the country. But when his onscreen love-interest in NDTV Imagine's Basera played by Priya Bhatija, along with her real life hubby Jatin Shah (who happily tied the knot three months back) made it their responsibility to squelch his single status, he found himself in a rather tight spot!

Amit tells us, "In this industry it is very easy to have affairs but not at all easy to fall in love. I'm waiting to fall in love. I don't want to have just an affair." Explaining why he is taking his time to find the right person he says, "I did have a wonderful something going on for me which I truly wanted to complete with marriage. But somehow it didn't turn out that way for me."

So seeing Amit mope alone, his pals thought of coming to his rescue. Amit Jain between titters tells us, "Priya and her husband Jatin are trying to fix me up with someone or the other. But I told them strictly that my Panditji has asked me to stay away from girls for another three months. So, till that time you people leave me alone."

In Basera that launches on NDTV Imagine on 17th August at the 9.30 PM slot, Amit plays Shantanu Mehrotra, a lawyer from an elite Punjabi family whereas Priya Bhatija plays Nandini Parikh, the pampered elder daughter hailing from a Gujarati family.

We wish all the best to Amit (as well as his deeply concerned friends) in this quest for his sweetheart which shall restart after three months!!
