Busy as a bee
Kamya Punjabi admits that too much work has finally started to take a toll on her
Small screen is a cruel industry and Kamya Punjabi will vouch for it. The actress has been busy shooting for two shows and this hasn't left her with any free time. Busy with so much work, the actress has been craving to pack her bags and take a long holiday.
"I was actually fighting with my scheduler the other day so that I can take a day off. I have been shooting day in and day out and this is really taking a toll on my life," she says.
Besides her Banoo Main Teri Dulhann, she is also working on a comedy reality show Comedy Circus. Despite complaining about having no time at all, she has taken up other shows Comedy Circus. She clarifies, "Dulhann has been my top priority and I would never think of leaving that. I shoot for Banoo Main Teri Dulhann 12 hours a day and 22 days at least in a month. Besides this, I got the offer to do something different in Comedy Circus, so I took it up. Thankfully, it has really paid off," she says.
Kamya recently spoofed the soap queen Ekta Kapoor on the show and she has been getting rave reviews for it. "Everyone loved my act on Ekta. In fact, so many judges asked for the CD of my performance which also includes Farah Khan. I am really happy that people have loved my performances. I am in the top three now," she adds.
In the age of reality music and dance shows, Kamya has not participated in a single one.
"Well, I have been getting a lot of offers but the main problem is timing. This kind of shows needs a lot of time keeping in mind the performances and practice sessions required. So, I have to say no them, when I really want to be part of the reality high tide that sweeping the country," she says.
If she is really getting worked up with her gruelling schedules, why is she doing too much work?
"Actually, I am also somehow responsible for my own situation. This is the age to work and I am getting good roles like Sindura which has become so popular. So, I am giving heart and soul into it. I am getting good money for it too. Just that it's too hectic and sometimes becomes unbearable," she quips.
