Thanks a whole lot everyone. Even though I declared I won't write anymore but I take that back. I thought of a story that would be a perfect sequel to AD's story. It's a little weird because I am making Sagar, the male protagonist as AD's son and Vidya as Sarah and Sharad's daughter. Kind of goes against BMTD's sequence. No offence anyone. I was procrastinating and this story came to mind. Even though its probably something you guys won't like as much, but for some reason its begging to be written. Lets see how it goes. Chapter one: The Prince of Delhi
16 years later….
The alarm went off. I pressed snooze and dozed off again only to be disturbed by the annoying sound after 5 minutes. Sometimes it reminded me of mom. The only difference was, it didn't pour cold water on me and didn't make the best Parathas in the whole world! I sat up yawning like a baby and went for a cold shower and got ready for school.
Then it hit me! Econ midterm today! Gosh I hate my life! College would have been great if we didn't have these stupid exams! New York was cool too but Delhi is something else! Believe it or not, I did miss my family a lot. Not only mom and dad and Sanvi but also Sharad uncle and Sarah aunty. They really spoiled me. Specially Sharad uncle, he is really my best friend. He taught me how to drive, how to whistle and even some cool pick up lines! I didn't miss Vidya, Sharad uncle's daughter that much. She was a nerd, head buried under a thick book all the time, had seriousness hung over her face 24/7. She was no fun. But for some reason Sanvi loved her! Must be a girly thing!
I totter across the hallway to my kitchen of this tiny apartment and started devouring my favorite cereals—'coco puffs'. I know, no where near mom's Parathas, but hey, it didn't come with daily dose warnings like "behave in school Sagar, don't forget lunch Sagar, be back home by dinner time Sagar and so on." Don't get me wrong, I love my mom more than myself, more than anything in the world but she can get on your nerves sometimes!
My phone vibrated. Who could be calling at this ungodly hour? The screen showed, Sureli calling…
Wow! Sureli calling me? Did the sun rise in the West today or what!
"Hey Sue, what's up?"
"Please don't call me that. My name is Sureli, make SURE you remember it! To answer you question, nothing much is happening. I was wondering what are your plans for tonight? Are you busy?"
This was getting really strange, Sureli, the purported campus queen, heart throb of many was calling me at seven in the morning to know if I was free at night; something was wrong. May be she dialed the wrong number—it had to be it.
Should I tell her that? Nah! Where was the fun in that? On second thought, I was Sagar, the Prince of Delhi, the apple of my mother's ocean deep eyes! Now come to think of it, it shouldn't be a surprise that she would call me! She was hot in a way but she doesn't warm your heart, you know what I mean, right? Mostly the desi guys dig her, she's a bit too snob for my taste, its fun to go out with her but definitely can't take her to meet your mom. I smirked at my whole analysis. Oh! I am so smart! I can hear her impatient sighs on the other side. It's time for action then. Let's play along sweet Sureli—let's see how sure and superb you really are!
"Um. I am free. What did you have in mind?"
