And woohoohoo! This update na!...it was so touching. I'm so sorry for Sagar because his family doesn't really care for him. But now he kinda got Divya...can't wait for the next update. 😛 😳
Oohh haha, no no Mandy, I'm much better about that, thankoo...😳 yap I know, we will definitely rock in the World Cup!
I was sad again cos Federer lost, but I'm better about that too😛
Btwwwww, your avi-sig... wow. ☺️ Podolski and Schweinsteiger... I knew they were good-looking but they look really nice in your sig. 😳
Yah, I dunno how much Sagar's relationship with his family will be important later on, but I wanted to mention that for now... so will update soon!
Sagar glanced down at his hand, and felt a sudden impulse surge inside him. Smiling slightly, he grabbed her waist lightly and pulled her towards him, leaving little distance for her to move. "So why don't you tell me what I was thinking, if you're so sure...", he breathed into her face.
-------------------------------------
Just a note - This following part is written in Divya's persepective again, so parts of the conversation are going to be repeated to get her feel at what happened... but it will move on later, past the part where I had left off at earlier. Just notifying so there's no confusion😳
A Few Moments Earlier
Divya leaned against her favourite tree in the park, staring down at her hands as she twiddled her thumbs in worry, hesitant to look up, in case it disappointed her. She knew Sagar would come... he wouldn't let her go so easily. But she couldn't be so sure; who knew, he may have given up and left... maybe he didn't like her indecisiveness...?
"Stop it, Divya," she told herself. Frowning at her uncertainty, she finally decided to raise her eyes slowly, and look up, away from her thumbs.
Sagar stood in the middle of the park, his hands in his pockets. He turned around briefly, as if he was looking for someone (her, probably), but his sight didn't catch Divya.
She pulled herself away from the tree, and stood up straight, quickly checking herself to make sure her hands weren't left in an awkward position, like earlier. Taking a deep breath, Divya walked upto Sagar, who suddenly turned around to see her face. He looked at her in surprise, shock overshadowing his face for a brief moment.
"Divya... you nearly made me jump."
Divya blinked; why did he sound like he was out of breath? Though she didn't know why, she had the urge to laugh at his expression... hastily turning that into a smile, she decided to respond. "Sorry. Anyway...", she stopped, trying to find the proper words to say before speaking. Sagar leaned his his head forward slightly, as if directing her to continue.
She sighed. "Whatever you were thinking yesterday, when you nodded your head..." She took a slight pause. "... you thought correctly."
Sagar raised his eyebrow. "So that means --"
Another smiled unfolded across Divya's face. "Yes."
"Divya, can't you just tell me what you're trying to say clearly? I've been open with you so far." He held a tone of accusation in his voice.
Divya just couldn't wipe the smile off her face; for some reason, she felt satisfied... satisfied, and content, to see that she held some control over this conversation. Feeling more confident than ever, she walked up to Sagar and pulled down his hand firmly, a show of challenge. "And why should I?", she said, trying to sound as brave as possible. "Aapne joh samjha hai, uss hi thought pe rehna." She tried to maintain her 'bravado', though the distance between them suddenly seemed so much closer...
What had happened next went very fast.
Divya had enough time to see a half-smile appear on Sagar's face, before she realised that their faces were only a breath apart, and that her waist was in his grasp.
Her eyes widened, her mind suddenly filled with confusion and hesitation, yet she had no time to think. She felt his warm, sweet breath brush across her face; "... why don't you tell me what I was thinking, if you're so sure..."
The distance between them was too close... yet she couldn't pull away.
"Sagar --"
"No, tell me first."
She saw a mischevious glint appear in his eyes, and smiled despite herself in the bargain.
"I'm waiting..." His hold on her waist tightened; they closed in on each other even more, forcing her to place her arms on his chest now, their faces barely apart.
Divya sighed. "Did you think that I too... felt something... for you?"
Sagar raised his eyebrow. "... Maybe."
She finally managed to free herself from his hold; they now stood apart from each other, yet the amount of distance remained close as ever. "Then you were right."
Sagar smiled, relief washing over his face. "... Really?"
Divya nodded, allowing herself to smile slightly. She suddenly felt shy, and felt her cheeks flushing; she hoped Sagar wouldn't notice.
"Aur ab... mujhe lagta hai ki mujhe jaana hoga, Sagar..."
He frowned, and shook his head, looking at her in confusion. Grabbing her hand softly, Sagar pulled her closer. "Don't go."
She smiled, looking at his hand, and feeling a sudden electric jolt surge through her body. Why was she so hesitant to be close to him before? It didn't seem as awkward now.
The confidence flowing through her body once again, Divya shook her head and smiled. "I have to."
Concern and reluctancy filled his eyes. "Par kyun?"
"Because...", she whispered, standing on her toes, and pausing for a moment. She pecked him lightly on the cheek, and walked away, leaving Sagar to stand there in the park and gather his thoughts.
I actually had most of this written yesterday, but had to take a break and finish it today, so hopefully the continuity of the scene has remained. I had it pictured so nicely in my head; I hope my writing conveyed it properly!
