Vidya sat there just like every other day or afternoon or evening or morning of, rocking the little cradle. The little being in the cradle was all she was living for now. Nothing else had a meaning in her life anymore. Nothing else could make her alive again. But of course, except for him. He meant everything to her too. But he wasn't with her anymore. That was the only thing she ever regretted in her life. It wasn't being illiterate that made her regret so much, it was the fact that he wasn't with her anymore. It was the fact that though he loved her so much, he wasn't able to understand her well. It was that they both loved each other so much, that there love wasn't strong enough to withstand any storm, or toofaan. After being married for two years, he still couldn't recognize her. This was Vidya's routine. Either it be in the evening, afternoon, or morning she'd spent most of her time like this, remember the past moments. Vidya was jerked out of her thoughts by the sound of the little one in the cradle waking up. Vidya got up and picked up her little angel. "Nahin, nahin.....rote nahin...." She said, trying to make the little baby girl calm down. She walked around the room, rocking the child in her arms trying to make her fall asleep again. She looked at the little child who was asleep now, recalling past moments with the child's father.
"Vidya, meri briefcase!" he shouted, calling her to get his briefcase for him. "Latee hoon, " Vidya replied going to get his briefcase. She cleaned her hands which were full of aata and went to get his briefcase from where he usually keeps it and proceeded to their room. "Yeh lijiye," Vidya said putting the briefcase down beside him. She picked up his coat from where it hung and he extended his hands for her to put it on from behind him. "Suniye, aaj karva chauth hain, aur - "Saagar cut her off before she could finish her sentence turning around facing her. He put his hands around her waist pulling Vidya closer to her, whispering "Aur tum chahtee ho ke mein ghar jaldi aa jaaon? Right?" Vidya began to blush, looking down. "J - ji.." she mumbled. He always had this affect on her. "Aa-aap choriye hume, koi dekh lega.." she quietly said, shying and blushing all at the same time. "To dekh lene do, tum meri biwi ho.." Saagar said putting his forehead against hers, and putting a soft kiss on the tip of her nose, making Vidya blush even more. "Saagar tum tayyar - " Aniket said about to enter their room. As he saw the two he quickly turned around making Vidya and Saagar quickly break apart. "Darwaza bandh to rakho, you guys." he said. Vidya was now red as a tomato, as Saagar gave out a soft laugh, and brushed the back of his hair with his hand. "Chale jiju?" Aniket finally turned around and came into the room, "Actually mujhe tumhe ek khush khabri deni thi. Woh joh deal ki thi na tumne kal, wo finalized ho gayi. Congrats Saagar." Saagar hugged Aniket as this infact was good news. Vidya was about to leave but Saagar quickly got her wrist while still hugging jiju. Vidya turned to see him and Saagar gave her a big smile and winked.
Vidya was yet again jerked out of her thoughts, by the sound of her little baby. It seemed like she was hungry.
Okay guys that was my first attempt. If you guys like it then I shall continue, but if it sounds too lame or cheesy 😆 which it probably is 😆 then please do tell me. Criticism (good and bad) is welcome.
