Santu in on the road walking aimlessly and comes to cliff and jumps... DM awakes scared and hot and bothered.. He looks at the wall where Santu's portrait is hung.. The portrait is missing....He gets up in a panic as to who has moved it.. He looks around the room to see it hasn't been misplaced. He storms out of his room and sees Khemi holding the portrait.
DM marches down the stairs and asks everyone to explain what is goin on and how Khemi had the audacity to go into his room and remove the portrait...
Khemi:Wow, Dad.. For the sake of a murderer you are making such a big commotion.. This portrait will not stay in this house. Nothing of Santu's will.. DM:This is my house! You are under my roof and talking to me in such of a tone?? Stay within your limits!!!
Shocked by what was happenening Baa and Babuji ask DM to return to his room and they would talk to Khemi but DM wasn't one to let things lay so easily...
DM:I'm not afraid of this girl.. She wrongly accused me the other day and I didn't say anything and now this.. Who the hell does she think she is??
Khemi:I am your dead son's widow... Your wife killed my husband and you could not do nyay..You have all your family surrounding you but me I have no-one..
Hiten watched on as further words were exchanged between his father and Khemi and had enough of all the arguments.. He knew that he had to do something before it was too late and although things had changed very much in the last year he had to take charge..
With a heavy heart he walked and stood between DM and Khemi..
Hiten: Enough!!! Enough is Enough!! For the last year I have just listened and heard enough of this abuse... We have to accept that Arjan is dead but also Dad you have to realise that Santu is never coming back!!
DM: Are you crazy? What do you mean never coming back!
Hiten: I mean She is never coming back..Dad for our sake you have to accept that whatever happened has happened.. Stop digging out the past!! You have to do nyay for the whole family Dad!!
Its either us or Santu.. We don't want fights, anger everyday.. Please Dad!!
DM looked at Hiten, pain shone in his eyes and he knew that Hiten was also hurt but what could he do? He couldn't just forget Santu...
DM:I will call the lawyer tomorrow itself.. I want to distribute all my property and then I will be mukth!!! Please everyone just leave me..
Khemi threw the portrait on the floor and walked away.. All the other members also went and left DM alone in the hall...
DM fell to his knees and looked at the broken portrait...
DM: Santu.. Please come back.. I need you.. Look how you have left me, we promised each other company for seven lifetimes and im alone...
He looked at the hundreds of pieces of broken glass.. seeing his reflection.. He felt unable to bear the sight of him..

At the hospital the next morning Maulik regained conciousness and saw Kanji looking down lovingly towards him..
Kanji:Slowly, How are you feeling Beta?
Maulik:My head hurts Dad.. Ouch.. Where is Mom?
Kanji:Ermmm.. she had some important work so she had to leave but she has been here since your accident.. Do you need anything?
Maulik:No Dad.. I just want to see you and mom happy together
Kanji:Don't think and talk too much.. It will affect your brain.. You should rest, I will tell your mum to come soon.. Take Care..
Kanji placed a small kiss on his son's forehead and walked out of the room..He wiped the drops of tears that had formed in his eyes..
Kanji:If only you could understand Maulik, me and your mum can never be..
Precap:Maulik returns home to find Moti yelling abuse at DM about Santu and Santu's new friend Aman helps her get a flat..
