Maulik knew what his father had gone through over the years and vowed that he would put a smile upon his face. He vowed that for every tear the family had given him they would pay.. He walked into the kitchen and began to wash the vessels.. He remembered Santu and what she had done for him..

He remember the dreadful day that everything had changed in the M-Mansion..

*8 Years Ago*

A year had passed since Santu had been taken to jail and the family was arranging a havan for the barsii of Arjan.. DM had been in his room and had minimised socialising with his family as he didn't know what to say and who he could open his heart up to.

Khemi went into DM's room, asking him to come and be part of the pooja as she wants Arjan's soul to be in peace..

DM:Go from here! I have told you all to leave me and not to disturb...

Khemi starts clapping... DM is confused as to what she is doing..

Khemi: Fine..You don't want to come! Don't come.. Im not going to beg you..

DM was shocked at the words coming out of Khemi's mouth...

Khemi: You think I care if you don't come.. No I don't, for one whole year all you have done is mourned.. not for Arjan but that murderer Santu.. You are disgusting and make me sick... She was so young compared to you and you took advantage of her age.. Didn't you feel ashamed when you got close to her.. And her, she is a good for nothing gold-digger who married you for your money..

She laughed at DM with an evil smirk she began to scream loudly...

DM didn't understand what she was doing... She ripped her sari and messed up her hair and called out to the other members of the family..

DM couldn't act quick enough, he got up and asked her what acting is she doing.. just then Hiten came in with the others...

Khemi sobbed and looked scared.. DM didnt realise what was happenening, she cried and Moti asked both her and DM what had happened..

DM: Nothing has happened.. I also want to know what is all of this..

Khemi:Please Dad, don't lie now that everyone is here.. DM couldn't believe what he was hearing...

K:I came to ask Dad, to attend the pooja and he began shouting at me, accusing me that I snatched his wife from him.. He blamed me for coming here with Arjan.. He said that I am characterless girl and the family members should throw me out...

Hiten:Papa.. What happened?

Khemi interuppted Hiten and again cried saying 'Don't you believe me? Dad has lost his become mentally imbalanced.. He has become angry since Santu left but now... He tried to throw me out... Why would I lie?

DM:EH!!! How dare you, make up this false story..

Khemi:Why would I lie?? I have nothing to prove by lying.. Please, I don't mind if I stay in one corner in the house but please...

Everyone looked at DM, shocked and confused.. They didnt know what to believe...

Meanwhile Maulik was with Kanji as they were both sorting out an assignment at Jamkabhadiya...

Maulik:Dad, When will you and mom resolve your problems? When will we be a proper family..

Kanji felt uneasy by the questions as he didn't know how to answer.. 'It would be better if you ask your mother that' Kanji replied...

Kanji goes in the car to drop Maulik off at M-Mansion and is spotted by Hiten who invites him in saying that is very dark and unsafe for him to drive as he is incredibly tired...

Kanji refuses but Hiten insists and Kanji relucantly agrees... Kanji goes up into the spare room and sit on the chair..

Hiten:Phupharji, will you eat or drink anything??

Kanji:No..I ju-

Taru came storming in and sees that Hiten and Kanji are together.. She orders Hiten to go..

Taru:So, why have you come here??

Kanji:I want a divorce..I want to get married again.. I hate the sight of you and its not fair on our son Maulik..

Taru:He is my son.. Do you understand.. She bellowed angirly

Kanji:Shouting won't change anything... We loved each other and the symbol is Maulik..

Taru:SHUT UP!!

Maulik is standing in the doorway and is pained by the way his mother is abusing his father.. He goes to his room and begins to drink..
After an hour he hears Moti's voice again but Kanji is leaving..

He runs unsteadily to see that Kanji is leaving the house and tells Taru that he will send the divorce papers soon..

Maulik very shocked runs and gets into the car to follow his father.. He drives crazily and collides with a truck..

Precap:Maulik needs blood.. Kanji and Taru both come forward but neithers blood matches.. DM has a nightmare and wakes up abruptly..

wow yaar, kya story hai.........at first i thought that airhead is accusing DM for trying to come close to her.....which would be ewwwwww..........but you have saved DM..........good story..........looking foward to read more.......keep up to good work................

Maulik very shocked runs and gets into the car to follow his father.. He drives crazily and collides with a truck..

Some villagers from nearby saw that the car had collided and ran over and were shocked to see that it was Maulik.. In a hurry they took him to the hospital.. The villagers phoned the M-Mansion to tell them that Maulik has been in an accident.

Hiten informs Kanji and he too rushes to the hospital to see his son. Maulik is in the operation theatre and the doctors inform Hiten that due to of a lot of blood, they need to arrange for blood as soon as possible.

Both Kanji and Taru come forward as they are in desperation to save their son.. The nurses check both of Tarunji's blood but neither matches.. Kanji breaks down as he feels that he is to blame for his son's condition....

Kanji's sister arrives at the hospital and sees her brother crying near the mandir and wipes his tears..

KSister:That's enough Bhai.. No more tears now

Kanji:My son is in pain, I caused his pain.. I should have never have gone to the house... I should never have loved Taru..

KS:That's enough now.. you need to be strong.. come on and lets see how Maulik is and if anyone has arranged for the blood...

Toral's blood luckily matched Maulik's and she more than willingly agreed to help..

Baa, Babuji, DM, Kaddu and Khemi returned home as they had been in the hospital all night and Baa needed her medicine and Moti wanted Kaddu to take Khemi and DM home....

DM returned and went straight to his room, again he was alone with Santu..

DM:Santu, I need you today.. I can't bear to see my son in so much pain, I never ever let him down and gave him everything that he wanted.. I remember when he was 5 years old and he got really sick.. Subhi had gone to Surekha's as she had been ill and Virat was away abroad... All night, I had looked after him, changed his clothes when he got them wet... I never let him out of sight.. I cancelled all my work and stayed home to stay with him.. He would cry but the tears would be in my eyes.. He wouldn't eat and I couldn't swallow anything... I felt that I was helpless as he I couldn't bring his temperature down..

I held his hand and taught him to walk, his first words was pa.. My son Maulik.. DM cries and cries...

.....

Santu in on the road walking aimlessly and comes to cliff and jumps... DM awakes scared and hot and bothered.. He looks at the wall where Santu's portrait is hung.. The portrait is missing....

Precap:Maulik awakes and asks for Taru.. and Hiten tells DM that he needs to do nyay.. Either he choses his family or Santu...

wow sanrajdewani.......nice story........i am glad that toral was able to help maulik...........she is always that bubbly figure.....and i hope if she stays the same in actual serial too.............and DM getting scared was awwwwwwww part.........I hope nothing happend to his santudi...........looking foward to read more
