I've been wanting to post this for sometime, but haven't been able to.
In the beginning of Bandini, it was said that DM had been poor and Subhi had married him regardless of his circumstances. DM had also mentioned that he'd started his diamond biz due to Virat insulting Subhi's cheap clothes (as compared to his wife Surekha's expensive ones).
Then in the Taru-Kanji track, they said that Kanji had been sent to jail by Taru's father who was the subedar. That implies that the Mahiyavanshis are old money as the subedars were pretty influential in terms of money and power.
Have the Creatives forgotten their own background material or is a case of convenience for the sake of story progressing (no matter that they made a complete 180 degree turnaround)? Hmm
