"Punishment should be such that it is not meted out to extract revenge but to teach a lesson and our dear Maulik is going to be taught a lesson of a life time. A guy who lived in the lap of luxury is being sent to live in the humble surroundings of a hut. A fellow who never worked a day in his life is being made to work along side the villagers A guy who has never understood the meaning of responsibility is being taught to act responsibly and support the victim's human family with earnings from his own hard work..
He is being taught a tough lesson in life and will sure remember it foreover."

The way I look at it . The take aways of yday's serial.

- Punishment is not about REVENGE or TIT FOR TAT but about REFORM.
I believe there would be greater peace and happiness around us with this new law.
Here this verdict to stay in Santu's humble Hut is going to be a lesson of hislife...quite a turning point in the life of presently good for nothing spoilt head to toe -Maulik. Infact i see this punishment as blessing in disguise for Maulik.
A true Mother's blessing by Santu.

- I also liked the entire DM - Santu conversation. Now she is fast learning it's no longer Nanji who is going help her with wisdom but her new companion for life....
- also when DM tells it's easy to be a commoner and accuse people but difficult to should responsibility and dispense justice. So true.
- I also like it when he finally somewhere deep down acknowledges the fact that she is Mayavanshi now and asks her to live up to it...I felt like he is slowly opening the doors...I guess Birwas B card certainly did trigger his conscience..

- And finally about BC mentioning about Khemi being kidnapped being swept under the carpet. Even I noticed it but the way interpreted it was like ...the fact was certainly not hid...DM came clean with narrating the entire Maulik - Gau hathya happening infront of the entire village ....but since here the over arching theme was about Gau hathiya, they probably didnt want to dilute it.

And the punishment here is about REFORM to tuen him into responsible , loving individual. And the COW here is the Mother, the wrong doer is a MOTHER's SON, and the judgement dispenser is a MOTHER and a REFORMER ...

Hope I hve been able to convey my thoughts....

You've put it across wonderfully well, Brinjal ...
Yesterday late night after the episode had ended, the same thoughts
crossed my mind .. those about this punishment really transforming Maulik from head
to toe .. he is a spoilt brat who does not the value of hard-earned money and
takes everything for granted, thanks to an over-indulgent and morally
questionable Taru foi.. so I think living
with the Waghelas will really open his eyes and make him realize
that spending the money is a very easy task .. but one realizes
it's value only when the money being spent is
one's own hard-earned!

The DM-Santo track is progressing beautifully .. the way
she mentioned in front of everyone that throughout her life, her decisions have
been taken by others .. her nanaji .. the best thing was that this
time DM did not take the decision on her behalf .. he just
completed it .. awwwww!

Ya very true. They potrayed Santu's unpolished intelligence very well....where our Diamond DM came to polish it up , and give it a new sparkling finish .....A NEW LAW ..made by DM-Santo. ...the going to be hopefully made for each other types relationship.

Khemi's kidnapping was not an assault against a woman per se.

The boys would have kidnapped anyone who witnessed their bad deed... whether it be a man or a woman.

It's pure human nature to do whatever one can in their power to hide the facts in such cases. And the fact in this case was...a PERSON witnessed the death at their hands. so the PERSON was kidnapped. Just pure and simple as that.

The story focuses on the person behind the wheel, and he is the one who gets punished. Others were acting under his guidance.

We are all the victims (voluntarily, but still...šŸ˜‰šŸ˜†) of Ekta's previous shows and its indeed very relieving and refereshing to see her attempt something that is truly ouf of the box and actually maintain it steadily, even after 2 months have passed! šŸ‘šŸ‘šŸ‘
The last whole week was stupendous in terms of storytelling, screeplay, performances (always top class and I am not just talking about RR here!) and emotions. But the last episode played on Friday, really took the cake!
I had actually expected Santu to forgive Maulik and let him go...but to give a punishment befitting the crime was just such an awesome twist! The fact that a young, illiterate, unexposed, docile sort of village girl could take a decision that was not only correct but also brave in its own way was amazing! She did forgive Maulik for what he did, but at the same time, did not let him get away with the crime...balancing the act between crime and punishment beautifully!
And now for the next week...if this doesn't melt DM's heart atleast a 100 degrees....then God knows what Santu will have to do to win him over!
I remembered Gandhiji's quote about forgiveness, 'The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong.' Nothing could be more true for Santu...
