Some time back I made a post about Hamurabi's code of an eye for an eye in which I argued how unfair it is to equate the life of a human to that of an animal and how killing a person does not teach him a lesson.
I am proud to see that the show is taking the turn I had wanted. The archaic laws of the village are being rewritten thanks to an innocent naive village girl who passed a judgement which even stumped her husband and leader of the village. Punishment should be such that it is not meted out to extract revenge but to teach a lesson and our dear Maulik is going to be taught a lesson of a life time. A guy who lived in the lap of luxury is being sent to live in the humble surroundings of a hut. A fellow who never worked a day in his life is being made to work along side the villagers A guy who has never understood the meaning of responsibility is being taught to act responsibly and support the victim's human family with earnings from his own hard work..
He is being taught a tough lesson in life and will sure remember it foreover. For after all this lesson will stand him in good stead.
I am trully glad that I am watching such a meaningful show. Hope they never ruin its freshness, ever.
