Rewriting the codes

Some time back I made a post about Hamurabi's code of an eye for an eye in which I argued how unfair it is to equate the life of a human to that of an animal and how killing a person does not teach him a lesson.

I am proud to see that the show is taking the turn I had wanted. The archaic laws of the village are being rewritten thanks to an innocent naive village girl who passed a judgement which even stumped her husband and leader of the village. Punishment should be such that it is not meted out to extract revenge but to teach a lesson and our dear Maulik is going to be taught a lesson of a life time. A guy who lived in the lap of luxury is being sent to live in the humble surroundings of a hut. A fellow who never worked a day in his life is being made to work along side the villagers A guy who has never understood the meaning of responsibility is being taught to act responsibly and support the victim's human family with earnings from his own hard work..
He is being taught a tough lesson in life and will sure remember it foreover. For after all this lesson will stand him in good stead.

I am trully glad that I am watching such a meaningful show. Hope they never ruin its freshness, ever.

you speak my mind, opti. this is the first time ever i have logged in immediately after any show to comment on it. what a wonderful turn of events. what a wise, brave and strong little heroine we have here. she's going to teach her malik a thing or two :)
loved today's episode. it was full of unexpected events. i'd never have thought i'd see moti-ben grovel and accept her wrong doings like that.

Opti, Gawker and Radhika!

I feel like a winner after tonight's episode
for some strange reason .. maybe it's because all
the faith that I had in this show
has really PAID OFF .. and how!

Getting back to your post, Opti, I am ecstatic that
they took this much-needed step towards restoring sanity to the
Dharampur legal arrangement.. it was marvellous ..

And the best part was DM humbly accepting his
flawed LAWS!

Totally agree with u...this girl has proven that u don't have to be literate to be smart and intelligent and know right from wrong. It's just the kind of person that u are. I am so glad that Santo took the right decision. Moti ben also accepted her bad deeds. it was an awesome episode...loved how Santo asked DM for his blessings in making the right decision, i just love the title track.

Bandini is just tooo good to be true. but it is true.

No misunderstandings, no unnecessary rona dhona. it's real in a way. I found pride in the eyes of DM when he saw his wife, giving the judgment. It's as if she opened his eyes, and he came to support her.
