HEMAAA !

So good to see your post .. I was waiting for you and Soapie to be free of all the nervousness as to what happened tonight .. hehehe good that the episode did not disappoint you .. even I am glad that this wedding is not going to be a part of an impulsive decision taken by DM just for the heck of it ..

When you do get around to watching the episode, pay special attention to the last scene where DM's eyes water up as he tells Guruji that marriage for him is impossible .. so many emotions just by one gesture- RR is going places!!

And so is this show!!

Waited till midnight, but then sleep overcame me, but the first thing I saw in the morning was the update...which as usual was great and detailed...but no marriage? But aaj toh hain na? SBS might have got confused on the days!

Coming back to the episode, it sounds like a real dhamakedaar one...sort of a precussor to the things coming up from today onwards!
Can't believe Guruji actually said that!😕 But then, it was the only way to convince DM...you know mollify his Ego and still make him do what is required! (A blooper : How did Guruji come to know about Santu's horoscope? The only reason could be that he is the Village Guru and everyone from DM to the lower one's show their horoscope to him!)
Much as it makes DM look like the greatest evil on Earth, I think the point he brought about Santu's caste and age was a very remarkable one...and something which a man like him will think about! A village is based on a strict caste system and even today, the hierarch is followed, so for an upper caste man like DM to marry a lower caste and way too young, Santu would be quite scandalous!
As soon as the marriage gets over, I want DM to get even and out with Virat, Jaggy and the run-away groom and set them straight!
It is nice to see social differences becoming the debating point instead of the usual economic differences...DM does not have a problem with Santu's economic status, but with the fact that she belongs to a lower caste and is very young...its quite well in keeping with the theme of the story!
As soap-critic puts across, tomorrow might bring some more drama...DM will try and wriggle himself out of the situation, but in the end, just give in...that might fuel some more anger against Santu from his side.
Ok, so now a wait of more than 12 hours to read about the wedding and watch the video....I am sure it will be worth it!
Thanks once again for a great update!

Soapie !!

We missed you last night in our 'intensive' discussions ... LOL .. no honestly we missed your detailed analysis that always covers so many points that we think about but never really get in our posts ..

I am really happy that they did not show the marriage just happening in one episode .. that would have been very contrary to the obstinate and passionate man that DM is shown to be .. because when he says no one can take his dead wife's place .. he darn well means it !

Come to think of it, unlike the other Balaji leading ladies, Santo has not been shown angry even ONCE in the last 9 episodes! Makes my mind go ahead in time and think that the most importatnt day of their marriage may be when he finally manages to get her ANGRY and give him a piece of mind!

By the time, Bandini gets over, its 1 midnight in my town...and only some super-human willpower can keep me awake at that time😆 (Maybe when DM falls in love with Santu, I might just be inspired to stay awake till 1and read what happens!)
Yes, DM getting convinced to a marriage so soon would be contradictory to his nature...even today, he might try his best to fight the inevitable, till he gives in!
The Non-Balaji Aspects of Santu Mahiyavanshi (Lets just start calling her that, even if her home for the rest of her life is a corner, she still is DM's wife, na?😉) :
Santu doesn't leave her long, shining, salooned hair open all the time and they never seem to be out of place! Santu wears clothes that will never, ever become a fashion trend! Santu never paints her face with layers of make-up and looks like a village girl actually should. Santu hasn't slapped anyone till date (Very important point) leave aside slapping the Hero!
  • Santu hasn't become hysterical, hyper, over-emotional, angry on anything...she just laughs and cries like a normal girl would given her circumstances.
No wonder, she is so endearing...because she is so normal and believable, even if her character is of an uneducated, illiterate village girl!
Soapie
PS: Now if by some quirk of fate, Khemi gets married to that Bhagoda Mahesh...won't the Chaiwala guy and DM become Sadu Bhai...Oh God...DM will probably go and wrangle Guruji's neck if that happens😆

Ha Ha! Thanks, Sukhi!
Yes, Santu does not preach and looking at DM's temper, I don't think the girl would even get to open her mouth, leave aside spreading Balaji Telefilms favourite pravachan's!😆
I think there are going to be a lot of silent, intense scenes between DM and wife...you know looking at each other for long duration, having nothing to say, yet lot to express...

I watched that specfic scene quite a few times. I madly love his subtlety in expressions: so much barely held back fury and yet the hurt and sadness in his eyes.........I pinch myself something when I watch him act. He is just unbelievable. Also, Suks ji, our Ronit has already arrived in his place a long time ago ☺️.

I know Tabs he's found his rightful place .. at the top of the pyramid .. I just mean that he's so dynamic .. nothing he does looks like it had been done before .. every new scene is a treat .. every expression priceless..

The scene was very well done .. it was like even DM could not gauge his own intensity of emotions- for the first time they threatened to show..in the form of his tears .. STILL he held back .. what restraint and what subtle power - ammmazing!
