Update for Thursday 19 July

--Prabha in hospital and wants some help but is reluctant. Kalpana asks him what you want but he asks for Gopi who is not there. Now Gopi comes up and Prabha asks him to take him to bathroom. Gopi brings him back and then he leaves. Later Kalpana asks why he did not ask her for help. He says you are a woman and it is difficult to ask such things beyond limits. But kalpana is not happy at his reply.

--Nithila with selva at home and he asks her to get ready for coming to office. But she is not interested and says she is not coming there. Selva sits and asks her to think about him as a former friend and not as a husband and please listen to me, he says.
He tells her that lalitha wanted to make you mad so that you will stop coming to office and by not going to office, you will be making her achieve her aim. He says you always are too sensitive--whenever anyone says something , then you get devastated. You should rather think about the goals in your life and take life in a positive way and not to bother about minor hurdles that might come along.. After all this, if you feel like coming, you can come to office, he says and starts to leave.
Now Nithila gets up and says she will also come to office.

--Kalpana comes home and sees her parents taking food. Her mother asks her to join them but kalpana shouts at her mother saying don't force me, I am not feeling hungry and goes to her room.
Maragatham asks kalpana when is prabha getting discharged. Kalpana says probably tomorrow. Now maragatham tells her husband that we need to go to tat prabha's house . We should not delay it anymore. Jeevarathnam of course is tubelight no 1 and can't understand what she is talking. His wife tells him that of course it is for kalpana-prabha's marriage. Jeevarathnam now nods and says that is a good idea and we will go there. Kalpana hearing this in her room is very happy and joyous. She comes now to the hall and asks her mother to give food as she is hungry. Maragatham is surprised and asks what happened to you suddenly.
Kalpana keeps silent and her parents both have a good laugh!

--Kalpana comes to hospital and finds Prabha has alread been discharged. She is shocked and comes rushing to Prabha's house and more shocks are in store for her.
Prabha is with Gopi and Jeeva and lots of jokes are being cracked and jeeva is telling some hilarious things about some cricketers and everyone is having a good laugh.
Kalpana stands outside listening to all the banter and feeling left out and becomes very sad that she has been ignored by Prabha. Now Prabha's mother calls gopi for something and Prabha/jeeva are alone.
Prabha again wants something from gopi but can't find him and jeeva sensing it, asks him whether he wants to go to bathroom. She asks him why you are hesitating to tell me, I am here to help you. Kalpana looking at the scene can't bear to see what is coming next.
Jeeva now holds prabha's hand and takes him to bathroom and Kalpana can't control her tears now.

Update for Friday 19 July

Ha ha, after all the research about usage of Lord Ganesha's pictures, Meli's idea that the scrap granite to be modified for realising some money was on the dot and the story went in that way only today 😊

--Kalpana crying at seeing Jeeva escorting prabha to bathroom. Kalpana leaves the house now.

--Now the scene in ganapathy granites office with Nithila/selva seen. One guy comes and says he wants to take the broken granites in the warehouse. He quotes 2 lakh ruppees. Selva says that the worth of those granites is in crores and how can you quote so low. The buyer says the price that you are telling is for actual granite tiles but now what is lying in warehouse is just waste and offers now 3 lakhs and selva asks for 10 lakhs which the buyer says he can't pay and then agrees to pay 5 lakhs.Selva is pleased with the offer byt Nithila puts her foot down and tells the buyer that she does not want to sell the items. Now the buyer is even interested to take at 10 lakhs but nithila asks him to leave. Selva tries to intervene but she tells him not to interfere in this. The buyer leaves reluctantly and then Nithila apologises to selva for talking like that to him in front of the buyer.
Selva shrugs and says you are the boss here and so that is ok.

--Kalpana's parents getting ready to go to Prabha's house and Kalpana is in bed thinking about what happened earlier. She now goes to her parents and tells them that the marriage plan is off and there is no need for them to go to prabha's house. Maragatham is perplexed and asks her that yesterday only you were very cheerful and you agreed also. Kalpana just says yes, yesterday I agreed and now I am saying No to the marriage. Don't ask me anything about it further. She says tearfully that probably I don't have any marriage raasi.

--Discussion in Ganapathy granites. Sundara,shanta,selva all blame Nithila for not accepting the deal for 5 lakhs to sell the granite scrap. Selva says we are not able to keep the new granites that are waiting to be unloaded and you are stopping this deal and we are losing 5 lakhs also.
Nithila calmly asks Adhi why you are keeping quiet and not blaming me. Adhi says she is thinking why Nithila might have decided like that. Nithila says she is happy with Adhi for understanding her and then shows a Lord Ganesha statue from her hand bag. Everyone appreciates it and then Nithila says this was made from the granite scrap. She says she gave the piece to a designer and got it done. Now she says this can be sold for at least 50 Rs and if we do this in a proper way, then with our available granite scrap, we can make even upto 1 crore even. That is why, she says she rejected the offer of 5 lakhs.
She also says she has already engaged 2 designers and staff for this project and has fixed a plot of vacant land also and very soon the scrap will be removed from our warehouse to this vacant land and then the problem of getting our warehouse free fro the new items is also solved.
Now all are very appreciative and Nithila says whatever loss that I caused, i want to reduce it in a small way like this. And she says she owes her thanks to Selva. He is puzzled. Nithila continues and says she was not interested in going to office even and selva only persuaded her to come back to office and on the way, she met a boy who was drawing Lord Ganesha's picture on a stone and then she thought why can't we do that for our scrap also.

--Pottu/poochi come in the dead of night to jeeva's house and poochi stands watching outside and Pottu climbs over the fence and into Jeeva's room. He has a kerchief on his mouth and comes near jeeva with a knife. Jeeva gets up and starts screaming. Pottu tells her ( in a different voice) to keep quiet and then starts running out. Hearing jeeva's sound, Natraj comes and he tries to stop the running Pottu but cannot stop him and Pottu runs away. Pottu comes out and sees Poochi sleeping and gets angry at him and they start running away.
Now Natraj/jeeva come out and can't find anyone.Natraj says he probably came to kill you and not for stealing because all the valuables were in my room only.

-- next day morning, Jeeva and Natraj are discussing what happened and Natraj says probably this is the handiwork of Adhi only. Now a assistant comes and says someone from a security agency is waiting outside. Jeeva is puzzled and says she has not called anyone. Natraj says he has only called someone for your safety and tells the man to be called in.
Surya successfully enters the room.

P.S Somehow this threatening by Pottu and running away is not so realistic and looks peela!. I would have been more happy if he is shown rescuing Jeeva from a life threatening situation and then jeeva makes him as her body guard!

whoever guessed about the vinayagar statue hit jackpot.. nithila did indeed decided to use the broken marbles to create vinayagar statues with it..

since i was unable to contribute summary due to the streaming down for the earlier slot.. i shall contribute some pics..

ng scene for shanta & lali

Update for July 23 Monday

--Surya ( no alternative really, we have to call him like that--he is wearing a safari suit and far away from "the old pottu image"!) enters the room and Jeeva/Natraj look at him in surprise. Natraj asks him how you have come here. Surya says I did not get a job here initially and also if I want to do a honest mechanic job, bank is not giving a loan. Also I did not want to take up your job offer later because I don't want you to assume that I helped you for getting a job.
Jeeva looks at him very curiously. Surya continues and says even now, my salary will be given by the security agency and so that is ok. Natraj asks jeeva whether we can keep him and she says ok. Surya turns back and gives a mischievous grin at the camera.

--Jeeva about to take food when Surya stops her and starts to eat some food and then says it is ok, you can start taking food now. Jeeva is annoyed and natraj can't understand what is going on. Surya says he tested whether any poison is there in the food and he did it because he is supposed to guard jeeva.
Jeeva is amused but does not say anything.
Natraj asks jeeva why Kalpana did not come to see Prabha. Jeeva says may be because she may have been annoyed that we brought Prabha home from hospital. Natraj however says kalpana is a good girl and not likely to think in that sort of way. Natraj goes to wash his hands and Jeeva dials kalpana's number and kalpana takes it after a delay and speaks in a very cold way with Jeeva,
Jeeva says we brought Prabha from hospital and Kalpana just nods and speaks in mono syllables. Jeeva asks whether are you all right. Kalpana says she is unwell and cuts the line. Natraj comes back and asks her about kalpana . Jeeva says she is not feeling well. She now dials prabha and tells him to speak to kalpana as she seems to have some misunderstanding. Prabha asks why should he call and speak to Kalpana. Why she can't speak to him.
But Jeeva insists on him to speak to kalpana.

Now Prabha dials kalpana's number and she sees prabha's name and cuts the line. Twice she cuts it and no Kalpana dials his number . Prabha cuts the line and then switches off the mobile.
Kalpana starts crying.

--Jeeva in her bed room and gts shocked at surya searching something in the bed. She shouts at him what you are doing. He says he is searching whether any bomb is there under the bed. Jeeva is really perplexed and asks who can plant bomb here. Surya says if someone can come here with a knife, then bomb planting is also possible. ( Jeeva does not think how surya knows about knife incident--well Director saar, you are caught here😊)

Now surya arranges the bed back and says you can use the bed now. Jeeva is very curiously looking at him and ask what would have happened if the food that you tasted had really contained poison. Surya coolly says he would have died.
Surya leaves but Jeeva looks like 25% fallen for surya😊

--Again action on jeeva only and Lalitha comes to jeeva's home and tells her that she has come out of her in laws house because of torture by Adhi who is giving MD job to Nithila but does not bother to do anything for her.
Jeeva is a bit amused and asks her what she wants her to do.
Lalitha says she has a Bcom degree and wants jeeva to give a job in accounts section in her office. Jeeva is surprised and lalitha says she wnats it particularly in jeeva's office so that Adhi will get more wild and Lalitha is sure taht jeeva being adhi's enemy will support another enemy of adhi.
Jeeva declines and says she is having only business rivalry with adhi and nothing else. Hence she can't take lalitha in her company. Lalitha is quite disappointed now.
Jeeva however says if you and your husband both come to our company, then I can take you both., Lalitha says how that is possible. He is firmly in his mother's grip. He will not listen to me, she says. Jeeva says even if it is not for a job, he can come out of her mother's company and start a new business and she will help him about the finance.
Lalitha is overjoyed and says she will speak to her husband about this.

After she leaves, jeeva gives a triumphant smile (very clever talk by jeeva and now Adhi's family may be split!!)

Update for Tuesday 24 July

I don't have much time today and hence the update will be very brief.

--Kalpana tries for prabha's number in the morning but can't reach him and hence decides to go his house. Her parents are surprised at seeing her go to prabha's house.

--jeeva comes with natraj to prabha's house. Surya on entering does not allow them to enter unless he checks the entire house for any bombs.
Later jeeva tells prabha to try for kalpana and now they speak and kalpana tells prabha that she is coming to his house.

--meanwhile, natraj talks to prabha's mother and tells about the marriage plan for jeeva/prabha. Thsi is heardby kalpana who just enters the house and jeeva/prabha who come to the hall. Jeeva says she is only having friendship with prabha and in fact prabha is loving kalpana. Now kalpana heaves a sigh of relief. Prabha's mom is happy and kalpana seeks blessings from her. Surya hearing all the things.

--Surya tells the things to Adhi and she is upset and tells him that if you can't fix up the love angle with jeeva, you will be in big trouble.

--Adhi goes to kalpana's parents' house and threatens them not to go ahead with kalpana's proposal with prabha. She says prabha has cheated money from me and he can't come to our family.. Now kalpana comes and speaks back at Adhi and says whatever you m ay say or do, this marriage will go ahead. Her parents seek apologies but kalpana says why do you say sorry unnecessarily.
Adhi threatens dire consequences and tells her brother that you are now in my enemy list and you will see a different Adhi from now on.

--jeeva opening letters in her office when she sees a letter without any sender address. Surya takes the envelope and says he will open it for safety sake. He goes outside and opens it and sees a box and starts to open it.
Now jeeva hears a big bang.

(obviously the postal bomb is a plant by surya)

gd job dasa, the only part you missed is kalpana telling aathi that she cannot ruin her maariage AGAIN but she did not explain further to her parents. i guess tomo then she will explain what aathi did and also the happy news of her impending marriage 😃

Episode 217

Scene 1

Shantha is in the living room, trying to explain to Sundara about Lalitha's visit and her subsequent suicide threat. Unfortunately, he is not able to get Sundara's full attention as he is interrupted by a phonecall. Sundara's mobile rings and he is informed about the bomb scare at his office earlier that morning. Immediately after the phonecall, Sundara runs upstairs to see if Aadhi is okay. Shantha is left alone in the living room, feeling neglected, hurt and unwanted.

In Aadhi's bedroom, Sundara confronts Aadhi about the bomb scare at the office...she confirms that it's true. She tells him that any moment the bomb may explode in their house. Sundara panics. "A bomb in our house?" he asks with fear. By then, Selva and Nithila enter their bedroom. Selva assures his mother that there is no bomb kept anywhere. Sundara asks Aadhi how does she know about the bomb....and she is about to blurt out Jeeva's name, but refrains from doing so. She says she just knows that there is a bomb because she can hear a ticking sound nearby. Aadhi keeps muttering to herself that the bomb will explode any minute, that she will die alone...and they all will live happily without her. Nithila asks her to calm down. Aadhi out of fear and irritation, asks everyone to leave her alone in her room. Everyone leaves. Aadhi sits alone on a chair, nervous and frightened that her death might be approaching her....

It's night time. Aadhi is unable to sleep. She is pacing up and down in her living room. Sundara comes and asks her to go to sleep. She tells him to shut up and leave her alone. He goes away silently. Jeeva at her house, makes a phonecall to Aadhi. Aadhi answers nervously. Jeeva mockingly asks her why the tone of her voice sounds so soft and feeble, and not as loud and arrogant as she usually is. Aadhi is speechless with fear. Jeeva tells her that the time is now 9:45 PM...at 10 PM sharp the bomb will explode and blow her up into pieces. Aadhi is sweating profusely. Then Jeeva gives a wicked laugh and says that she was just joking! There is no bomb. It was just a "little" lie. She just wanted to play a small drama with Aadhi, so that the whole day and whole night Aadhi is restless, and Jeeva wanted to enjoy all the fun. Jeeva taunts Aadhi that now she should know what fear of death means...without dying...and without being able to live peacefully as well. Then Jeeva says that now she has really arranged a real bomb for Aadhi...not just made up of chemicals which explodes bodies alone....but a powerful bomb that will explode Aadhi's heart. Aadhi panics again and asks Jeeva what she has planned in her mind. Jeeva says after the bomb explodes, she will call her again...and cuts the line. Jeeva gives a wicked grin. Aadhi is left mentally disturbed and restless.

Scene 2

Next day morning at Aadhi's house. Aadhi and Sundara are busy going through office files in their living room. Shantha approaches both of them again to speak about the Lalitha issue. He hesitates as he approaches Aadhi. Finally he opens his mouth and asks her to give Lalitha a job at their office. Aadhi looks up at him and starts laughing out loud. Sundara is watching her with no reaction. Aadhi has an amused look on her face. But Shantha does not seem to be amused at all. She asks him mockingly, what job does Lalitha know how to do...she is a good-for-nothing person. Shantha tells her that Lalitha is a B.Com. graduate and she can take care of the accounting section in their office. Aadhi asks him if he is joking. Shantha says no, he is serious. He tells her that Lalitha came a few days back and requested for a job. Aadhi scolds Shantha why he never told her about Lalitha's visit. He tells her that she never even paid attention to his words yesterday. Aadhi says that she will never give a job to Lalitha, and that's her final answer. Shantha says that her decision may lead to regret for everyone. Sundara asks him what he means by that. Shantha ignores his father and says there is no need to explain to you...you are not even concerned about me. His words hurt Sundara. Finally, Aadhi asks what Lalitha told Shantha. He tells her that Lalitha asked him to live separately away from his family. That he should move in with Lalitha and they should start a business together. Aadhi is amused at Lalitha's idea. She asks which financer will help Lalitha with her crazy business plans. Shantha has a serious look on his face and says that she has given him 2 days time, and if he does not follow her request, she will pour kerosene and burn herself in front of their house. Aadhi laughs back and says she doesn't care, she won't give Lalitha a job at her office. Period. Shantha pleads with her to take Lalitha's issue seriously. Aadhi is stubborn and says, "If you want...you can burn yourself with her or you can leave this house and move with her. My answer is the same. I will not give her a job at my office." Aadhi walks off. Sundara tries to console Shantha by putting his arm on his shoulder...Shantha pushes off his arm angrily and walks off.

Scene 3

It's night time at Shantha's bedroom. The room is dark and Shantha is sitting on his bed. He hallucinates and sees an image of Lalitha carrying a lighted candle. She speaks to him, reflecting her thoughts. She says that ever since the day they got married, no one in his family gave any respect to them. To his father, she is the unwanted daughter-in-law. To his mother, he is the worthless son. To Selva, he consults his brother only for business advice. To Nithila, she won't give Lalitha a job at the office. So Lalitha questions Shantha back, "who are we to them?" She tells him that they need to maintain their own self-respect and so they should live alone, away from his family. She tells him to start a business of their own and have a goal in life. Then the Lalitha image disappears and Shantha is left alone, wondering if all her words are really true. He then sees Lalitha's image again, this time placing the lighted candle in his hand...as if to symbolise that their life will no longer be filled with darkness, but with light and happiness. Shantha smiles to himself.
It looks like he has made up his mind.

Next day morning in the living room. Nithila serves coffee to Aadhi and Sundara. Shantha comes down from his bedroom, ignores his parents, and is walking towards the veranda of his house. Nithila asks if he wants coffee, he responds coldly, "No, thanks" and walks outside. Shantha is nervously waiting outside, at his house veranda. Selva walks in and asks Shantha who is he waiting for. He replies, "It's none of your business." Selva casually shrugs his shoulders, walks into the house and asks Nithila for a cup of coffee. An auto stops in front of their house gate, and Lalitha gets down. She meets Shantha at the veranda and asks him about his decision. Just then, Aadhi, Sundara, Selva and Nithila come outside. Shantha hesitates and says that he will discuss with his mother. Aadhi asks him why he is blabbering, and openly tells Lalitha that her son will not move out of their house. And she says if Lalitha wants to burn herself into ashes, she has full permission to do so. Lalitha says that she was not joking and that she will really do it. Sundara and Selva are silent spectators. Nithila begs Lalitha to stop this chaos, she tells her that it is all her fault, that she will resign her job and will request Lalitha to take her place. Lalitha scolds Nithila harshly and says that she is no beggar to live off Nithila's words of recommendation. She says that she came to take her husband away. Aadhi challenges her and says that will never happen. Shantha is in a dilemma and does not know what to do. So Lalitha walks back to the auto, takes out a kerosene can and comes back in front of their house. Screen freezes as Lalitha starts pouring kerosene over herself.

Update for Monday:

1) lali comes with a petrol bottle and pours it over herself at aathi's door. everyone tries to stop her but only aathi says let her burn. during these while, lali was trying to light the matchstick but to no avail and when she finally do so, shanta quickly stops her and scolds aathi for the first time (it was fantastic job done by shanta!). he asks her if she is a human being and why she doesn't have compassion towards woman since she is a woman herself. he grabs lali and leaves in a auto. sundara & selva goes to chase after them as they are sure that both of them are heading to lali's house. aathi & nithi looks shocked and stands still.

2) while in the auto shanta asks lali where they going and lali says to her house but shanta stops the auto tells her it won't be nice to go to her house in this state, thus they sent the auto off and lali calls jeeva and tells her what happened and asks her for help. jeeva tells them to eat at the nearby hotel while she arranges a house for them and will fetch them in a while. so while walking along the road, lali faints and the next scene shows shanta waiting in the hospital. the doctor calls for him and tells him lali is conceived. he shows a happy face but it soon changes to a sad one. the doctor queries about the kerosene stained sari that lali was wearing but shanta does not say anything. shanta goes to see lali and tells her he feels sad just when his child is conceived, they are standing in the road with no money. lali comforts him saying that by the time their child is born, they will be rich with bungalow & car. jeeva calls shanta's mobile and asks for lali, shanta not knowing who, passes it to her and jeeva finds out from her about her pregnancy, congrats her and tells lali that she will be there to visit her in 10 mins.

3) sundara & selva returns home empty handed saying shanta & lali did not go to lali's house. sundara tells aathi is responsible for lali's state & the happenings but aathi retorts back saying she did not incite her to pour kerosene on herself and nithila is so much better in terms of education & everything. aathi says she is disappointed at shanta for talking back at her and leaves. selva tells sundara not to worry and everything will be fine.

4) shanta makes juice for lali. lali asks if shanta knows who is going to visit her in a while. shanta asks her who and lali says its jeeva. shanta is shocked and it ends.
