Till now we have seen so many characters in this serial...main protagonist, other leads, supporting roles, cameos...and almost every character has its own strong & weak points.

So which character do you think is ideal or near to perfect, well balanced & inspiring?

I feel Bhairon, Shiv, Anandi's teacherji & Meenu are the best of all characters in BV.

Agree: Bhairon, Shiv, and Meenu.
Very close to being idealistic and balanced.

I like Radha. I was impressed with her character. She had a pleasant personality and was truly a sweetheart. Most of the characters can either love or hate in extremes. But she was an exception. I found her to be friendly & considerate. The actor who played Radha for a long time before replacement fit the role perfectly and did an amazing job. Her acting was completely natural and effortless.

Writers didn't destroy her character for Suguna to gain some sympathy and I'm glad she's not part of Anandi's sasural or so-called maika.

Of course she accepted Suguna as her DIL only for the sake of her son Shyam but she did it whole-heartedly. Radha never used this as a mask to harass her. Initially she was upset with BH family and was equally angry with shyam because he didn't reveal Suguna's pregnancy even when she took his side and made Madan Singh agree for this wedding. But she never used harsh words to torment Suguna like Sumitra did with Ganga. Sumitra kept on insulting Ganga in an unreasonable manner and one fine day she took a U-turn and started showering lots of love on her. In the beginning Ira was so sweet to Anandi; later during Sanchi-Jagadish drama she showed bitterness then changed back after knowing Sanchi's truth. Radha never gave dhamkis to Suguna like Ira used to do with Anandi nor she was cunning & plotting like DS. When Shyam was angry with Suguna and left her she didn't take it as an advantage to separate them. Instead she consoled Suguna and assured her that Shyam will eventually come around. When Suguna lost her baby I thought she would taunt her from then on but she never made even the slightest remark. Moreover she was concerned with her DILs health.

Many times I felt Radha would turn negative one day but that day never came!

There was one instance where I was not happy with her. Madan Singh vowed not to allow Shyam & Suguna in their house till he's alive. Radha couldn't bear it and took a drastic step by consuming poison. That was a weak moment for her. She couldn't choose between her husband & son. But I expected her to try by other means rather than giving up like this. Luckily she survived and got what she prayed for.

Overall hers is a calm & pleasant attitude. The best part was Radha happily accepting Suguna's baby though it was through Pratap and not her son Shyam. The great maternal grandmother (DS) refused to see the baby's face after knowing it is a girl. Even Sumitra was not happy when the nurse announced it is a girl by mistake. Radha was no way related to that child. DS & Sumithra were related by blood yet they were not ready to accept the baby whole-heartedly. When the doctor confirmed it's a boy Sumithra was overjoyed but there was no change in Radha's expression. She was calm & content with the arrival of baby no matter it's a girl or a boy.

Though Madan Singh got influenced by his brother's words and did few mistakes he was equally good. He cared a lot for Suguna & Varun. He never accepted when his brother proposed killing Suguna's baby. He played with Varun and bond with him like he would do with his own grandson. When Suguna vowed not to eat any food until Varun gets cured from his leg injury he tried his best to convince and make her leave this strict vow which is not good for her health. He even offered her his plate of snacks and asked her to eat. Shyam's Taisa (Madan Singh brother's wife) was also a good & kind lady. She opposed her husband's wrong doings and always supported Radha, Shyam, Suguna & their kids.

I found them progressive compared to other families in & around their place because...

Madan Singh & Radha didn't get their son Shyam married in his childhood though it was a common practice there. Even BH family did bal vivaah of Jagya who was going to school.

Suguna gave birth to Shagun (a girl) after Varun (Pratap's child). As far as I remember Madan Singh & Radha never made any comment in negative w.r.t this. They neither forced Suguna for another child (male) nor did they taunt her under the pretext of giving birth to a girl.

I liked teecherji, Bhairo, Shiv, Shyam, Radha, Kamli's parents-in-laws. Ideal is a strong word - no one can be perfect - but these characters were more balanced than others - as per my views.

With the exception of the mahan woman, everyone.
Also in real life, a man like shiv, who allows his wife to frequently visit her ex-sasural when her ex-husband lives there, will be impossible to find.

Everyone except the wannabe mother. It's a natural thing for a woman to feel like a mother but she defies it. Look at Even Harki for example. She's crazy about her son and will do anything for him. But Mangala only thinks about herself and her possessiveness. It's never from the child's point of view

Oh yeah. Thanks for giving Harki's example.
Only a woman like harki can encourage her men (husband and son) to become criminals. SO she must be nice.🤪

Not ideal for the world but she at least does everything as a wife and mother with no expectations in return. She's totally selfless in her love and I'm sure anyone on the forum will agree with that. Harki is anything but selfish

I think the topic of the thread was this -
So which character do you think is ideal or near to perfect, well balanced & inspiring?

And according to you Harki is near perfect and well balanced and inspiring. That is why you gave her example as the selfless woman. 😆
