Well people want to go after things which are irrelevant to the story I guess it is their wish.

Theyy showed Rajasthani weddings in great detail but non of the weddings showed putting maang tikka during the wedding ceremny they only showed putting sindhoor to symbolise the marriage.

How does a maang tikka become a symbol of marriage when the bride is already wearing it much before husband made entry into her life?

So it is obvious that maang tikka is not a symbol used to indicate the presence of a husband in a woman's life.

People don't seem to understand what constitutes part wedding finery and what symbolises presence of a husband in a woman's life

If people think they know everything and they know better I guess they are free to do so.

May be the likes of me who should stay away from them since I don't have enough intelligence and not capable of entertaining rational thoughts and accept all the things that all the intelligent neutral viewers have to say after all I am a blind fan not capable of thinking

Only part relevant to story - was Anandi not knowing Nimboli is married. So, if Nimboli is in an attire that is clearly of married woman sans sindoor - what does it signify? Anandi herself was like this only after her marriage with J broke, Ganga was also like this after divorce with Rat. None of the girls were wearing pallu, mang tika etc. before marriage even in this serial. And if someone points out this she is nit-picking, going after things irrelevant to story etc. Thank God after departure of DB from serial - now such people are not being labelled as real/virtual life DB anymore.

@Alchemist, thanks. I have always enjoyed interacting with you. I withdrew from the forum because it had become too self-righteous and too intolerant of even the slightest dissent. But withdrawing also means ceding space to the majority view.

I came in to say that there can be other opinions on BV and some viewers may be watching It from an entirely different prism.

As for my own opinion, I concede that I started with tremendous prejudice towards BV 2. I thought the new family was horrendous and I still find them horrendous. But the superlative acting, the near-perfect cast and a riveting story have made me watch it, almost against my will.

At least I'm willing to concede that I made an error of judgement with respect to BV2.

I understand why you withdrew yourself. I myself had self banned my previous two id's for the same reason reason. But now am able to stay cause I learnt how to deal with it. Ignoring is the key. Like leaves said, having thick skin helps too. 😆

And yes you are absolutely right. There can be other opinions on BV and everyone don't watch it for the same character or reason. I myself had started watching it to see Anandi and her fight against immoral customs but now I don't watch it for her anymore. I watch it for drama. and since a few days, the Akhiraj family too had interested me. But then, it can't hold me forever. Similarly each one will have their own reasons and I totally agree with that.

It is totally fine if you thought the new family was horrendous first and now it is better. Cause that's how it actually was. Along with you, many viewers including me found the new family horrendous when they entered. The CV's taking down Anandi and her baby nandini to a lower level ...Anandi losing her child out of total stupidity...the focus shifting from the civilized Shekars to the Uncivilized new family...was a total put off. And to imagine Shiv's daughter being a child bride...Anandi's never ending troubles...everything was like a total no no. Everyone in BV is gifted with everything in life including all the ex - rapists, murderers and cheaters who made others lives hell...but Anandi gets nothing inspite of being forever good and forgiving. And the worst happens when we get bullied on the forum when we point such terrible storylines of the CV's. I don't mind the small mistakes the CV's do. But the bigger things like taking the story itself in a wrong way and showing that to be right, is what bothers me. But again each one has their own take on these. What one finds to be silly may be a serious thing for others.

I'm glad you finally found something nice to watch in this new BV. I didn't yet. For me it is still like an on and off thing. But after I reset my attitude towards the forum, it is more fun here😆.

@ aparna - When i was talking about the bullying part, I was talking about my own experiences, it was not directed to you. Our interactions were always nice and ended on positive notes. Mentioning this particularly cause I see you active here. I don't want things to come out in the ways I don't mean. 😊

Actually you dont need it if you can find some humor in every post ...that is my strategy.😆

Humour helps. The trick is not to take things too seriously.

Well talking about child marriage for Anandi's child can there be a track which is logical to show this twist in the story????

No logic can ever explain this.

Nandini who is a daughter of a collector and fiery social activist whose focus is prevention of child marriages ends up being child bride growing some where as an illiterate.

This can happen only because series of bizzare events. because if logic had it's way even widow Anandi's child would not end up being kidnapped.

They don't want Anandi to be happy and content with dead husband's memories bring up her children so they made her burn in living hell because of her own guilt and grief over double loss so that they can have Anandi whose life is filled with darkness

They made sure that even if she recovers her lost daughter she will never remain in peace by seeing what happened to her and how she turned out.

yes even if anandi get backs nandini one thing she cant changed that her daughter is balikavadhu once upon a time. that tag will remain with her. and it will be painful for her till nandini will get bright future .
Well i m expecting anandi will reunit with nandini, nandini get better education and she becomes professional but cant trust on cvs . I doubt that cvs can show another vicious circle of kucchi umar ke pakke rishte.

I really wish nandini life should not have shadow of her past , the way they shown Ganga completely ditched from ratan and his family they should show akheraj punished and nandini back to her world.

But God knows what cvs will plan.

If they wanted a child marriage for Anandi's daughter , they could have done the same track making Anandi less guilty. She could have left the baby at home...and the bad guys follow her to home and rob the child. This could have made at least the neutral viewers pity anandi that she lost the child in the fight and not because of her foolishness and screwed up planning. After meeting Nandini , anandi would still have felt terrible to see what nandini lost in the first few years of her life. And the directors can make money on that. They always made sure she kept losing in life inspite of her efforts and good nature. But the least they could do was to not make her foolishness the reason to lose her child. These are what I call big mistakes made by directors.
They did a similar thing Ganga's case. A woman who was on the run trying to hide herself and her son will keep that as a priority. Her goal would be to secure her life first. But after a fiery entry, they made ganga a drama queen and made her look desperate to get J's attention ignoring the other family members concerns. This character was not what they projected her to be. This was another mistake.

During Sanchi's track too J was not completely right. He was made to appear right only because the person on the other side was the annoying Sanchi. We wouldn't expect this from a redeemed person like J. They showed it like J was totally right and Sanchi was completely wrong. And sumitra , after being a wonderful mom amd mother-in-law for about 20 years , suddenly turns unreasonable. She was actually right in most of the points she said. But she was proved wrong. the entire clowns gang forgave her in the end😳. These were the real big mistakes the directors did in my opinion. And I don't appreciate them for that. Nor do I appreciate the justifications that come in the way from members to support them.

Adding to all those big mistakes - how Anandi was not able to find her lost girl for 11 long years. But when they decided it is time - she is meeting the same girl like she is living in her neighbourhood. A small child is difficult to find - but how can police miss the almost seven foot tall Akhera when he was not even in some hideouts and living in his own home very near to Jaitsar (perhaps Udaipur too). This could have been written better - like Akhera was in fact living in some far away corner of the State or even some neighbouring State and recently shifted to Jhalra. But creatives want to show like he is in fact ruling Jhalra with no fear of anyone. Why do they want to paint the characters as too good or too bad?

I think they wanted to make Anandi filled with guilt over the kidnapping.

Had Anandi not been feeling guilty over the baby's kidnap, thoroughly demoralised and completely broken they would not have been to explain the move they desperately wanted to make - that is shifting her to BH.

If Anandi had no role in that kidnap she would have remained strong despite the kidnap of the baby she would have insisted on remaining in Udaipur on her own and searched fro her baby.
Only because she was guilty and emotionally fragile they could make her believe that she is not capable of taking care of her kids on her own and she needs help which Dsa is willing to provide.

Ganga's story yes I had no problems with her taking Singhs help to get her child back and to stand up on her own two feet. But this love story and her desperation fro J started way too early. It would have been much better if she was shown realising her feelings for J when she was in Mangalore with her education in place Mannu in her custody and Ratan out of her life and she was free emotionally and that if she started fall for J that would have been more realistic. but looking at the way things are going on in J and Ganga's life now it looks like they married in haste and the problems slowly built over years

The whole Sanchi Ganga Jagya triangle was to make Jagya Ganga pair accepted. They started Ganga chapter without giving a proper closure to Gauri chapter. The only way is to bring in someone like Sanchi into the picture. Not many viewers who were not ready for Ganga Jagya as a couple accepted them as a couple only because Sanchi was way too nasty and vicious.
