I am surprised that how some Anandi supporters write every possible illogical crap on Jagya and Ganga when someone even calls their favorite sati savitri they start attacking the member 🤢

@Alchemist, thanks. I have always enjoyed interacting with you. I withdrew from the forum because it had become too self-righteous and too intolerant of even the slightest dissent. But withdrawing also means ceding space to the majority view.

I came in to say that there can be other opinions on BV and some viewers may be watching It from an entirely different prism.

As for my own opinion, I concede that I started with tremendous prejudice towards BV 2. I thought the new family was horrendous and I still find them horrendous. But the superlative acting, the near-perfect cast and a riveting story have made me watch it, almost against my will.

At least I'm willing to concede that I made an error of judgement with respect to BV2.

Rural regressive tracks are essence of bv2,it is a serious art film. Social show. Not relieving entertainment.
One burning issue is child molestation and bv can show that nicely through.nimbuli n.kundan.recently there was a case of 16 years old boy raped a 11,years old girl.
And bv has to tackle these issues through its bold social message.

@bold - we are sailing in same boat. Fan groups think they can suppress other's voice since they have numbers...

Disagreeing with a member's opinion about a scene/character amounts to trying to suppressing the member's voice ????

Just because people are more interested in the bigger story and the bigger picture and not interested in nit picking does that make those members as dumb passive and not logical??

Is logic and intelligence rational thinking only the properties of so called neutral viewers?

What do fans know? They are all blind.

Nobody said disagreeing with a member's opinion is suppressing the voice. But what happened in some of the threads was certainly suppressing the voice. Justifying creatives by fan groups about anything related to their favorite is fine - but pointing out the obvious mistakes by creatives is nit-picking?

When the CVs convey the point they wanted to convey through a partcicular scene and audience get what they are trying to say through the scene that obviously mean that the CVs have succeeded in communicating with the viewers.
The recent issue about Maang tikka it clearly went with the what they were trying to say.

Anandi when she was a child beofre her marriage she was playing with her maang tikka. That means she owned one even beofre marriage and wore it on special occasions.

Later on when Anandi's marriage with Jagya went kaput Sumi stopped her from wearing Sindoor she didn't take away her maang tikka

Then Ganga even after getting legally seperated from Ratan continued to wear borla/Maag tikka

Then when Harki wanted to recognise her son's marriage she took away that borla but didn't have problems with maang tikka

They have shown that maang tikka is not a symbol of marriage in the show itself -

If people seemed to be confused about what is a symbolises marriage and what are woman's/girl's who is of accessories nothing can be said.

If Maang tikka symbolises obly married state then a bride shouldn't be wearing it.She should be wearing it only after sindhoor and mangalsutra are put on her by her husband. Because only after the man puts mangal sutra around a womna's neck or puts sindhoor on the hair parting will she be considered as married.

Going by what they have shown about maang tikka so far if Anandi does not recognise her as child bride there is nothing illogical about it.

None of the unmarried girl in BV wore mang tika, bichuva or pallu. Be it Anandi, Ganga, Gahna, various girls in Jaitsar school etc. Anandi, Ganga and Nimboli continued to wear it after their marriage broke - it does not mean that this is the norm - it only means that creatives dont want to change the "look". At least people of north India are not confused what ornaments symbolise marriage because they themselves follow these norms. Again in Rajasthan, UP, Bihar, MP etc. there is no mangalsutra - married women dont wear mangalsutra there. Now some wear it for fashion, just like mang tika sometimes is worn by unmarried girls during functions (only in cities, in villages they follow tradition more strictly and unmarried girls cant dare to wear such ornaments meant for married ladies).

Creatives dont have authority to change the social norms and declare that mang tika, bichua, pallu etc. are not symbol of marriage and can be worn by unmarried girls.
