I too felt that Shiv offering a shoulder to Raskia was Shiv in character -- having done that he quickly regretted the action.
And later when she lunged at him and made it seem like it was a molestation by him, then too he was inconsolable .
When Anandi told him to forget it, the one thing that bothered him was that he had been seen by his staff and that is the image they would carry of him.All this was Shiv as we know him.
What bothers me is that he is shown to be intelligent but does not do the obvious things: like looking for clues to prove himself innocent.
He told TV channels that when Narendra came running he asked to apologize. But before he could do so he succumbed or fell unconscious.
Asked what N wanted to apologize for, he said he had no idea. How can Shiv be so dumb?
Should he have not thought through it? Narendra believed Shiv had wronged R; he was so enraged he went to the media and tried to sit in a dharna at the collectorate.
So if he wanted to apologize, what would that be about? Surely Narendra wasn't going to be apologizing to him for forgetting to put Shiv's clothes out to dry or some such irrelevant thing.
Narendra was concerned about what happened to Rasika. He accused Shiv of misbehaviour with her. So if he asked to apologize, surely it could only be because he had made a wrong accusation.
If Narendra wanted to apologize for wrongly accusing him, why would he set himself on fire? And if he didn't who set him on fire?
How did Rasika come running after him? He carried the Kerosene can all the way to Shiv's office with R running after him?
Did N drive to the collectorate? He has a scooter. So did R come pillion riding on his suicide mission?
Had she loved him would she not have alerted the police,Shiv's staff etc about N's intentions?
Would she accompany him, wait until he immolated himself and then run after him?
How is that Shiv never asked these questions? How did he not discuss all this with Anandi?
They are a couple that discuss everything, so how come they did go over these details?
How come they did not suspect that N had been murdered?
Instead the couple is always shown silently supporting each other, which is lovely to watch but makes no sense.
Shiv keeps saying he is innocent and so he will get off in any trial. How? Without evidence? Without using that brain in his handsome head?
Innocence is no guarantee of justice. Evidence is the only guarantee of justice.
The whole thing defies logic.
And now the jackass of a CCTV thing. Even the Brajesh Sanghvi thing is difficult to swallow. An IAS officer commits a cold-blooded murder? And assumes he will not be caught after openly buying kerosene?
