GOTW The Famous Name Game

Dear All, my turn to start a new game for this week.

It is a very simple one, I shall name a famous personality and atleast any one reason he/she is famous for. The next member has to post another famous personality whose first name begins with the last letter of the previous famous name.

The famous personalities could be from any prominent field - Leaders, Politicians, Scientists, Enterpreneurs, Humanitarians, Writers, Musicians, Sportspersons, Actors etc who are much admired for their work and contributions.

For example -

Mahatma Gandhi - Leader of Indian Independence movement

The next member should post the name of a famous personality whose name starts with "I", and also provide a one liner on the person's achievement(s).
