I see what you mean. Having government and police backing does make what Shiv does less risky than Anandi raiding bars and courting danger as an ordinary citizen. I also agree with the point made somewhere (I think it was in this thread), that Anandi needs to adapt her methods to the big city - Udaipur is not Jaitsar, and she does not have the same clout in Udaipur as she did in Jaitsar where she was the haveli ki beendhni and the Sarpanch. It seems weird and unrealistic for her to give bhashans to randomers in a city where she is essentially a nobody and not have anyone tell her to shut up, lol.

I disagree that Ira wouldn't have a problem with Anandi being an IAS or a police officer, though. I think she would object to that and start bugging Anandi that if she must work, she should take on a job that's safe and inoffensive.

he IS really quite good looking and well maintained while wifey looks plump and plain

imagine him in a western dress if he looks so chikna in rural outfit
