Don't confuse the two issues.

I think she is a mistress because Jagya has started giving her personalized gifts. I have no issues with ganga accepting the gift, but I do have issues with Jagya giving it. Particularly since teej is a festival of husband-wife.

I don't feel Ganga should have been cooking for his friends because she is a student, and she has a child. I feel that Jagya should not have put the burden of cooking on her by inviting his friends. I think it is insensitive. He should have taken her to a hotel where ganga also could sit with them and be an equal. Not working as a maid to entertain his friends.

In general, I don't think it is correct for even "respectful" male friends of Jagya to have so much access to Ganga or her home.

you cannot be definitive about that sector

since my maternal grandparents were in a remote village , their customs r not exactly unknown to me dear

forget village women , my mother cooked for my father on every fast she had as he had told her right at the beginning before they got married that ur fasts r ur decisions , neither can i eat fast food nor should the whole house suffer

now this may sound chauvinistic but he was clear before marraige and she always remembered it for life and their companionship had no chauvinism element in it . Its just that he was a foodie and never lied . He could never ever pretend all his life .

And no i am not lying to prove a point .😆

I trust you implicitly kools. Even over the internet, though we have never met, I can feel your honesty. It's a non-physical, vibrational aura that you have. I would never think you are lying to prove a point.

Any rule that a person should NOT accept personalized gifts ?

That makes a woman a mistress ?

I thought the term mistress meant giving sex in return for gifts , a woman on the side when the man is married

here he is not married

there is no sex

so how is she a mistress ?

Different from his. He is extra scared. He could have asked what is the occasion? If he wanted to wish her. That does not necessarily have to be the norm.

The American has been my colleague's boss for ten years and he has been living in India for ten years. He still didn't want to ask her because it would involve commenting on her clothing.

and hundreds of ladies do it all their lives do men eat in hotels the day ladies fast ? Coz hotel food is NOT allowed for any house member on the day a vrt is kept in the house .

No not hotel food. I told you the ladies all make non-perishable items (like sattu etc.) which are made from grains and cereals for the husbands. They keep these in the kitchen for the men to eat. Otherwise they have male cooks like makhan etc. come in for the day and run a community kitchen for men.

The women are all busy on a "holiday" -- it's like a kitty party for them. They all gather together at someone's home, and apply mehndi, and sing songs and do fun things. Nobody fasts exclusively within their own home. All the village women gather together somewhere for the whole day.

And for whom Ganga is doing the fast on teej (If that festival is meant for husband & wife. I dont know much about this festival though)? Ratan Singh or Dactar Sa? How disgusting !!!
