kools, the other thing is that jagya by virtue of his child marriage, knows fully well the importance and significance of teej, as well as the rituals that go on and the symbolism they carry (i.e. husband giving wife a gift at night of sari or gold jewellery or a statue of goddess etc.) before breaking the fast. he has given the child anandi lots of gifts on previous teej's before breaking her fast.
today, if you noticed, shiv also gave anandi gold bangles.
even if jagya wanted to give her the gift, from himself, he could have paced himself, and given it to her as a token farewell gift.
But no, he gave it to her as a teej gift, watched her complete the puja, and then sat down with her to break her fast.
A lot of this is what bothers me.
