@hiralshah169 I agree that craving for male child is strong in India both in villages and in cities(maybe more in cities) because I see that on daily basis around me. To see these social evils I do not need the help of any serial , being aware of your surrounding and newspapers are enough for it.
My point is we all are aware of these social evils but in their zeal to gain TRP's BV makers have not dealt with the issue sensitively,. They created OTT drama which was not suitable for 8 pm slot and also in this graphic display of violence even their message was lost somewhere (which is evident by mixed reactions on forum).
Right now the way BV CV's are executing their tracks it is similar to lots of other serials that aired on television. They are lacking in their research to back their stories, they have made mockery of Indian education system ( see the MBA of Sanchi and wihtin two months jump of Ganga from class third to passing Boards).Right now other serials also taking issues of importance of girl child, women education, women empowerment etc and even some of them have executed their tracks in a better way than BV.
As for BV being a sinking ship
BV was an iconic show with a difference but today it is like just another show on TV. After the replacement they have shown so many crap tracks and OTT drama and kitchen politics, that they have lost their iconic status. Now it is just like any other serial, there is no emotional connect.
As I said in my previous post it will keep on running as long as Colors don't get another big show that BV was a few months back. By showing sensational tracks and Ekta kapoor style stories it may even come at NO. 1 slot but it will not be the same Balika Vadhu. BV may run for another five years just like other shows on Colors but for me it has lost its soul and essence. My POV...
PS- It was not Sugna who saved the family but Padma on whose complaint the police force came and took action. Had Sugna came alone on Anandi's call or an inspector came alone on Shiv's call they would also been taken hostage. So, according to me Padma was the Saviour...
