reshmi .. I agree. that is why i said some might feel that.. but you know everyone has their view. That does not mean we have to totally ignore the contributions of everyone else..

Suchi...I don't think we have ever said that we don't appreciate the other actors or their hard work...but the way you have written your post suggests that you have appreciated them and we (everyone knows who we are) have totally ignored their contribution. Everyone reacts to everything differently. for some actors are important and for some stories are. I have never told anyone to think one way or the other on this forum but when I read your post today it felt like you are saying you are glad you didn't do this or that...implying you didn't but others did.

I don't have intention of offending anyone but this is my opinion and just letting everyone know here.

The TRPs were there due to the sensationalism they created with promos of haveli burnt down and Anandi running around the ruins shouting Dadisa! Plus the suspense through "action" in hostage drama. People watched it out of curiosity and because of past reputation and attachment with this show. It was definitely not due to some story! Rather there was no "good story" in this! Just one violent scene after the other, no discussion on laws and no use of presence of mind by any character in this situation except for Anandi ji's "intuition"!🥱
People just watched it for sake of knowing what really would happen to DS. Akin to how Kekta managed a bit of high TRPs by threatening lives of characters like Baa, Savita, Om, Parvati, Mihir and Tulsi, Anurag Basu etc. in her K serials. They had high for those episodes due to past reputation and attachment of people to the principal characters (and actors playing them), but they slumped later and we all know how most of them ended - either wound up quickly with many loose ends but quick "They lived happily ever after" slogan or ended abruptly without people even knowing that the episode was the last one!

I commend every actor except "(T)he one" for giving their best to the show despite the weird, sensationalist, pointless and even cheap tracks which are straight lift from Kekta's book.

But NO WAY would I commend CVs or extend them kudos in any way. They are wasting the talent pool and past reputation of the show that they have!

Gauri entry can bring TRPs for sure but that high cannot be much if Anjum is replaced. Already people have trouble accepting new Anandi. We know how replacements are taken by audience. So Gauri with a "new face" isn't some solid trump card for "maahir CVs" either.

Suchi - I agree.

BV is not dependent on anyone actor or character but depends on it's story and the performances of actors and not just one actors but every actor. If the show and the story depended entirely on the lead pair it would have shut down once the actor exited the show.Like it happened with another show.

The recent track involving people of BH and the hostage drama and Ratan and his goons as seen a rise in TRPs despite the violence. The TRPs were not because of the violence but for the simple story that was told in the track.

The good guys trying to help and protect a helpless woman with a small child from the bad guy and his paid goons and in the process getting into trouble with the bad guy and the heroines three of them coming and helping the good guys the poor young woman and making sure the bad guys are locked up by the law.

This was one story which was waiting to happen and when people realised that the much awaited story about how a rapist, abusive husband, polygamist and on top of it a sexist who only wants to have a son gets trapped and gets locked up is something people have been waiting for.
So the TRPs have gone up and it is very much part of the theme of BV.

The good guys with their strengths and weaknesses made the proceedings interesting and these were ably portrayed by the most talented ensemble that BV rightfully boasts off.
The writer director and the cast do deserve the applause.

Saying that the TRPs went up because of the violence is wrong.People do love to see bad guys getting bashed .Good guys being saved by the heroines/heroes in this case it was the heroines who saved the good guys.

Suchi - telepathy😊, I was thinking about putting up a post on BH drama and appreciating everyone involved in executing it...but your post said everything😊
It was a difficult track to execute...specially when action is not really the forte of CVs...what with a pathetic kidnap track and chase sequences filled with loopholes
But everyone did their job right...I specially liked the way the track was executed...the entire week, even with the spoilers, there were nail biting moments...the reaction of each character of Singhs was believable...everyone stayed in their element...Ratan Singh and his family and PADMA...everyone was in a terrific shape...
A's intuition proved that relationships by heart are more significant than the ones by blood...yes the diya blowing off was OTT...but the rest was done well
And I have my own POV on violence being claimed as the reason for trps...why are we acting like we live in a peace loving nation where violence is never witnessed and the first time we saw it, it was in BV??!! Lets not even go down the history, we have an infamous gruesome incident with a woman in the recent times, which shook the whole nation and send chills down everyone's spine...but in that case, the bad won over the good eventually and CVs ended the track with GOOD WINNING OVER EVIL!! IF ratan singh would have succeeded in burning the haveli - that WOULD have been sensationalising violence!!
And coming to the promo - it featured T as A...with BH in the backdrop, if nobody has connected to T as A, then how did it manage to catch everybody's attention?? Y care for what happens to Singhs in A's nightmare when A doesnt exist??!!
It goes on the prove that audience loves A and the Singhs...two instrumental elements of BV since its start...give them interesting tracks...they will WATCH...JMO!!

Suchi I agree bv cvs r really intelligent...finally they admitted their (T)AnSh cannot get them trps being the centre of stage anymore (like the past 10 months) and they shifted their focus to rest of the actually "working" cast.I am glad they realized their lead actress cannot act and their lead actor can only do one show at a time with efficiency unlike the other "dedicated" actor of colors whose seen all over her show along with jdj.I am glad they realized they shud use the power of their "good" actors to become successful like Sriti Shanky Surekha jee anup. And the happiest I am about is that trps rose in these tracks coz now when i will catch a glimpse of bv here or there I wont feel irritated!

I am really happy 😊

Those who say people watched it due to "good winning over bad", I am sorry but I disagree. It is always obvious that the good/hero/heroine shall win at last. People watched it because their long favourite and once widely watched characters being fatally endangered.

Someone gave example of 16 Dec case last year. The "bad" in that case are yet to be persecuted and good did not win over bad in that case.

Why do shows like Crime Patrol have high ratings? Why action movies break records? Violence creates sensationalism. Read any book on media. Two things are used to grab eyeballs - violence and sex. This is why news channels also cover "gruesome" murders and massacres in detail. Sometimes they go overboard and it gets flak for being tasteless. (So many rape cases happen even with children. Why only Gudia case got more coverage? It was violence and ruthlessness at its nadir)

Even a happy show like TMKOC got top ratings when Daya was kidnapped by goons and when some new woman had entered claiming to be Jethalal's wife (pati, patni aur woh drama!).

BV's recent high ratings prove that the age old formula still works and that people are more likely to watch the seasoned old actors and established favourite characters rather than the host of new characters the show was stuffed with in recent times.
