She's definitely getting better and her hard work/my patience is starting to pay off. If she as well as the CVs continue to make the effort then things will continue to improve. In particular her voice modulation and expressiveness is improving. Her dialogues and dialogue delivery is also getting better. In my POV, she needs to improve in the more emotional scenes especially when dealing with the Singhs. I still think she has a way to go but I believe she will make it. 😃

On a side note, small request to members commenting in this thread about T's performance; please stick to the TM's thread point which is to appreciate. Recognize things that you believe she has improved AND things that she needs to improve. If you believe that there is nothing to appreciate and still wish to express your views then feel free to create a separate thread to do so. Unfortunately things disintegrate quite quickly when members go off the thread's discussion point.

Note this is just a request not a lecture, bashan, moral policing, moderating, bashing or targeting. All members are free to post whatever, whenever and wherever they want as long as within IF rules.

Also a reminder to not reference the previous actress in this thread as per mod's rules regarding not discussing previous and current within the same thread. Thanks everyone.

*just trying to maintain the peace and let everyone have their say, please don't take this in the wrong way*

She is definitely improving, First it was shown in the confession scene, her expression, her dialogue delivery in the jeep was very nice, I liked the dry scenes. Then she could connect to Anandi in the scene with Shanky and today she could get into the skin of the character very naturally, slowly the hardwork can be been

I have still to catch up on the last two days of episodes, but Toral is doing a good job considering there is no storyline right now. Unless there is a good storyline, there is no challenge for the actor, but inspite of that she has done a good job.

Just went through the entire thread to make sure I'm not treading dangerous grounds here...the thread seems to be hale and hearty so far so I'm all the more eager to pitch in my two cents 😊
Today's episode was mind blowing! Toral's performance was fantastic too...and I think that's largely because the episode and the scenes gave her that much needed opportunity to shine! Anandi's fun-loving, mischevious, yet composed nature was very well scripted and executed!
I think BV has finally begun to settle amidst all the commotion (nazar na lagey! 😛)..today's episode was definitely a stepping stone into a highly reformed storyline (for both Udaipur and Jaitsar) and I just hope that the show continues performing at such spectacular level!
It was just one episode, but I was so impressed! One would think that there's really not much need for Anandi and her Anandiness in a family such as the Shekhars...but clearly there is! This woman is capable of bringing forth so much change in society (urban or rural) that it's truly amazing and inspirational!
And before I continue on this tangent...lemme just get back on topic and commend Toral for her performance too! I was firstly SO DAMN happy to see her side parting (I've been harping about her hairstyle for the longest time ever!!! 😆)...her expressions, dialogue delivery, gestures, and even eye movements were all on mark! She has really come a long way from day one and as an audience I feel so "proud" when I'm able to admit that I've literally witnessed an actor's growth from strength to strength. Her conversation with Chotima (and yes, finally it seemed like the start of a conversation and not an overdone bhashan) was very well paced and I'm SO EXCITED to see the aftermath of that tomorrow! In fact, I hope Anandi's contacted Mahi as well and has planned for him to drop by on Holi to surprise his mother! That would make her seem all the more mahaan and I love it when her and Shiv are shown as mahaan people (to a certain extent)...it just gets me so giddy and happy! 😃
Anyway, kudos to Toral and the entire team of BV today...they really extracted the best from all of their actors and their creative juices seem to be flowing at full speed yet again! 👏 I guess it's safe to say that while I am sort of prepared for the worst, I'm definitely hoping and in fact waiting to see the best! 😃

@masin 👏 really liked your post! Kudos for letting your hope shine out...I'm hopefull but extremely wary as well...don't want to be disappointed but am keenly waiting to see how the next few episodes unfold...please CVs, don't drop the ball again!

And yes, conversation not bashan. Thanks for pointing that out. Bashan can be exhausting whereas conversation is much more realistic and eye-opening 😃

Thank you! I was just so overwhelmed after watching today's episode that I couldn't wait to let it all out somewhere...finally came across the appropriate thread..so in fact, the credit goes to the topic maker and everyone else who has participated with such good will 😊
Yup..I guess you also understand where the "wary" bit is coming from... I don't want this high point to last for a couple of episodes and things to start spiraling downwards until the CVs think of another social issue to tackle. There are numerous social issues in a society...even some issues that are solved can be revisited. For example, I loved how Chotima's lack of presence in Holi celebrations due to being a widow was highlighted... being a modern bahu in a modern Shekhar household, she wears colourful sarees and that makes it seem like the issue of her being a widow is nonexistent... however, it is not! She stopped applying mehndi (as seen at Shiv's mehndi ceremony) and she doesn't celebrate Holi either...so clearly, she is still following some ridiculous and pathetic excuses of "orthodox norms!" Point being, that there is (unfortunately for the society and fortunately for the show) not a shortage of social issues. I hope the production team realizes that and continues to shed light on the variety of social issues that are present (whether they're as big as the ones in Jaitser, or as minimal as the ones in Udaipur..namely the Shekhar household).
And yes...so glad you agree! Bhashans are indeed exhausting and because of that they fail to deliver the message intended (or so I feel). Conversations are engaging and hence far more enlightening. I guess that the shift from bhashans to conversations might be a result of Anandi's move from Jaitsar to Udaipur. In Jaitsar, the people need bhashans to have some sense knocked into them (the most recent example would be Ganga's bhashan to the Singhs)...reading between the lines doesn't seem to be a skill they've mastered and so they need to be explained every little thing from A-Z (once again, I'm being biased and primarily speaking about the Singhs). In Udaipur/the Shekhar household, the family members are far more open with each other and hence more understanding...they don't need lectures, but just a heartfelt conversation that instigates a moral boost. 😊
And once again I went on talking about the show and not Toral's performance! Sorry!!! 😳

She is improving but has a long way to go.

She is putting in a lot of effort.

Right now she is performing when the scene is written well.Without a well written scene she is not able to connect with the character.

It is very important that she herself connects with the character then only she will be able to convince the viewers.

She has to understand Anandi and think how Anandi would act/react in given circumstances then only she will be able to get it right. If she feels Anandi while performing every thing works out.

Body language voice modulation etc won't matter if she gets the feel right.
