Exclusive: New 'Anandi' Toral hurt on the sets of 'Balika Vadhu'

Toral Rasputra, who has stepped into Pratyusha Banerjee's shoes as Anandi on show 'Balika Vadhu', was recently injured. The actor, while shooting for an important sequence on a cliff, was hurt and doctors had to be immediately called on the sets.

According to a source from the sets, "Toral was shooting for a sequence wherein she had to run and save Ganga's kid from Ratan and his goons. The unit started shooting for this sequence early in the day. Toral, who was also carrying a kid, began to run on the cliff and in a few minutes, she realised that her lehenga was stuck in her jooti and before she could do anything, she tripped with the kid."

"In an attempt to save the kid, she extended her hand to ensure the kid remained unhurt. But in that attempt, she hurt herself. A doctor was immediately called. This created a lot of tension on the sets. Even though Toral was in pain, she continued to shoot," the source added.

We hope Toral's hard work pays off.

poor tactics..
one question how come Toral's ranking improved from 613 to 11? seems unrealistic.

I can understand people are unhappy with the replacement but to show no sympathy for a person being hurt and choosing to make snide comments is really too much. First it was bashing her for her appearance, her age, etc and then it moved to calling her names and now this. We don't know if she was seriously hurt or not. Calling it a publicity stunt is rude and disrespectful to everyone involved in the show. My humble request is for people to please try to be considerate when posting about this matter.

Dear we feel sorry for her, but you are a bit naive to think that the television reporters are not doing this for publicity stunt. Many lead/parallel lead actors/actresses fall ill/sick/get hurt on set, not all of them get an article dedicated to it.

It's not snide calling it a publicity stunt, it is stating the very obvious.

I feel sorry for Toral, hope her leg gets healed quickly, but that does not mean my emotions will be manipulated so that I feel sorry for her and accept her.

Which is what this ploy is exactly.

If you disagree, that's fine, but a lot of us are use to these articles/news pieces coming from other forums and what not, we have become accustomed and familiar to how the television media works when it comes to reporting the "news" or as I like to think of it, manipulating the audience's minds by painting the news with their/the channel/the production house's perspective.

Thank you for the thoughtful reply. I really appreciate your reply to my comment. I was fully expecting shoes to fly my way so double thanks.

I'm very much aware of how the media can be used to influence people's perceptions of others, situations and shows through news articles and news pieces. They do it because they want to invoke a certain response which will be to their benefit. I'm sure that the channel is doing their best to get Toral accepted as A and will try to pull on people's heart strings and sympathies.

My main concern is that there are some on this forum who will take this as an opportunity to bash T and further their own agenda. This is the part I disagree about. If you don't like her, you don't like her. If you want to accept her, good luck with that. But there's no need to go to the extent that some people have been going to. I hope I am proven wrong and people don't twist this matter to suit them. But I'm not that hopeful...
