CURRENT ALTER EGO: Shivraj Shekhar in Balika Vadhu - Kachchi Umar Ke Pakke Rishte ON THE WOMEN-DOMINATED SERIAL: In the case of Balika Vadhu..., the subject of the show focuses on the life of Anandi but Surekha ji and Smitaji are very senior in the industry and I feel fortunate to be working with them. Back home, I am dominated by three women – my mother and two sisters so it feels quite homely even when I am shooting. IS SHIV LIKE SIDDHARTH? I am quite a mix of Siddharth and Shiv both. Shiv is analytical and rational and while playing Shiv, I have definitely become more responsible in real life. ON GRABBING THE SPOTLIGHT: I have the satisfaction of knowing that people love what I am doing. TRYST WITH ACTING: I got offers while I was modelling and they urged me to try new waters. BEING IN A DAILY SOAP WITH A LOT OF MELODRAMA: If the drama is about something good, then I learn from it. Otherwise I let it pass as a scene that I am doing for a show. ON THE LONG SCHEDULES: Hectic schedules have taught me to have a balanced life. PERSONAL STYLE STATEMENT: Though I am mostly seen in suits in the serial, in real life my comfort zone is in jeans and T-shirt. You will spot me wearing those when I am not working.
