Anandi and Shiv are looking at each other , while the family members and guest are enjoying the delicious food prepared by the Haveli Members.
Mahi: Ahem, Bhabi, kya main apnay bhai ko aapsey do min ke liye cheen saktha hun?
said Mahi with a twinkle in his eye.
Shiv looked at Mahi annoyed. He did not want to leave Anandi even for a moment. Something had changed inside of him. He had never felt like that before. Yes he did love Anandi but the feeling had intensified.
Anandi looked at him and then the next moment she turned and headed towards Irawati who was gesturing her to come and sit besides her.
Kya hua!? said shiv irritatingly to mahi
'bhaiyah sorry, aapko maine bhabhi sey door kiya lekin, mujhe aapsey ek zaroori baat kehni thi' he said urgently
Shiv still looking irate, searched for Anandi
bhaiyah ! shook mahi
'bhaiyyah plan tho suniye. Bhabi aur aapko akele main milanay ka plan!' said Mahi urgently
Shiv finally paid attention towards Mahi. The words Anandi, alone rang like bells in his ears!
'kya?' he said looking shocked
Mahi's proposal might be tempting but he knew that trying to speak to Anandi that too alone was no less dangerous than putting his head in the mouth of a lioness.
Mahi looked at his brother excitedly and continued.
'bhaiyyah come on. Thoda tho romance layiye apnay zindagi main. acha aap koi gift laye hain bhabi ke liye?' he asked innocently
'gift?' asked shiv confused.
Don't tell me, ki aapnay kuch special nahi khareeda bhabi ke liye! said mahi flabbergasted with the very thought of how Shiv could be related to him.
Shiv looked at Mahi sheepishly and nodded.
'Oh wow! Good. Ek min ke liye tho main dar gaya tha' Ok then aap bhabi ko ye gift akele main dijiyega main arrangement kertha hun.
Mahi then looked at shiv and then with a flash he rushed out of there.
Shiv was now earnestly terrified with the thought of meeting Anandi alone. He put his hands inside his sherwani , feeling through the gift that he had gotten for Anandi.
His heart starting to race faster as he saw Anandi sitting besides his mother and speaking animatedly.
For a moment he felt as if she had looked at him but the very next moment he saw her deeply immersed in the conversation. Then out of no where he saw his brother move towards Anandi.
Shiv noticed that he was talking to her and pointing at the stairs. Anandi for a moment looked at Shiv, with what felt like an accusatory look. Chills ran down his spine. He could not imagine how a strict collector like himself became so fragile in Anandi's presence.
Anandi walked towards Dadisa and spoke with her.
Han ja chori lekin jaldi aa jana' said Dadisa
Anandi then went towards the stairs and moved to her room. Then the very next moment there was darkness everywhere.
'Are maaakhann! ye ke ho gaya ' came the worried voice of Dadisa
'Masa aap fikr main kijiye main abhi dekhtha hun' came Bhiarav's voice in response.
'India nay bohot taraqi ker li hai lekin electricity kay mamlay main voh peechay reh gaya hai.' came the voice of Dadaji
'Papaji aap dariye main main yahin per hun' said Alok
'Oye chup! main aise hi major nahi tha Indian Army main. Ye tho kuch bhi nahi hai. Maine tho raath kay andhayray main dushman kay puraay battalion ko hakka bakka ker diya tha' Said Dadaji
'Ok ok daddu aap please abhi shuru math ho jayiye' said Mahi who was standing besides his grandfather
'Shiv kahan hai' asked CM worried
'mom voh bathroom gaye hain' said Mahi
'Lekin is andhere main kahin '' said Cm
'kya ghum na jaye?' mocked Mahi
'Mom Shiv bhaiyyah ki Shadi honay wali hai. Voh chotay bachay nahi hai ki ghum jayengay' said Mahi.
Irawati, Alok and Dadaji laughed
Shiv had slipped and gone upstairs. He saw that there were 3 doors but he was not sure which was Anandi's room.
He knocked at the first door
'Anandi'Anandi..'
There was no response
He then moved to the second door
'Anandi'.Anandi'A'' he said and the door opened
Shiv knew at once that Anandi was standing in front of him. His heart had started to race which was an indication that she was in his presence.
'Collector..sa'' said Anandi
'Shiv' , Shiv kahiye
'Han lekin kya hua.. aap yahan kya ker rahe hain' asked Anandi urgently. She thought it must be something important.
Suddenly Anandi felt her hand being pulled. Shiv out of a sudden impulse had pulled her hand and was taking him somewhere.
'Kya hua?asked Anandi worried. There was darkness. Slowly the candle lights were filling up in the main hall, yet it was not enough to lighten the entire hall.
Soon Anandi and Shiv were standing on the terrace. The darkness had finally met its match as the moonlight hit the face of Anandi and Shiv.
Anandi looked at shiv confused
'abh batayiye ki kya baat hai! aap mujhe yahan chath per kiyun le ker aaye hain' asked Anandi. She was facing shiv.
Shiv looked around and then looked at her.
There was nothing as beautiful as the sight in front of him. The moonlight hit the jewelry that Anandi was wearing and shone brightly.
'Anandi, aapsey kuch kehna tha' said Shiv
Anandi looked at him confused and waited
'main aapke liye kuch laya hun. Sabkay saamnay de nahi saktha isiliye aapko yahan per'' he said
It had just dawned upon Anandi that the electricity cut might not be coincidental after all.
Shiv was waiting for her outburst but he saw that Anandi looked at the floor in silence.
'Tho ' main aapko dun? he asked innocently
Anandi looked up at him. There was a twinkle in her eye suggesting that she had found Shiv's gesture absolutely amusing. Yet she did not let the smile reach her lips.
Shiv took out the gift and showed it to her.
'I hope aapko acha lagay' he said
Anandi gracefully took it from him.
Shiv looked at her hopefully.
'Thanks' She said
There was momentary silence and then they heard footsteps!
'Lagtha hai koi aa raha hai' said Shiv urgently
They ran towards the other corner of the terrace, which held the water tank.
Shiv's massive body easily obscured Anandi. She slowly peeked through his shoulders to see who it was.
'Bhaiyah'bhaiyyah' came the whisper of Mahi
Shiv came out of hiding.
'Mahi thumnay tho aaj maar hi dala mujhe' he said panting.
Mahi looked around and saw Anandi appear behind Shiv
He waved at her excitedly.
'Bhaiyyah kaam ho gaya? ! he asked
Shiv nodded
'ok BHabi chaliye. Issey pehlay ki aapko dundnay sabh aa jaye' said mahi urgently.
As Anandi made her way out, she was pulled back. She turned around and noticed that her duppata had been stuck in Shiv's watch.
Shiv and Anandi looked at each other for 5 whole seconds and slowly a smile emerged in both their lips.
Anandi remembered the first time her duppata was caught in his watch and she was sure that Shiv was reminiscing that very thing.
'Wow! kya classic yash raj scene hai!' interrupted mahi
'lekin agar aap dono nay ye jari rakha na tho , aapki khair nahi'
'Collector aur Sarpanch, 2012 Love story- kay kissey puray jetsar main tho kya, puaray Rajasthan main mashhoor ho jayengay' said Mahi
Anandi removed the duppata from Shiv's watch and followed Mahi.
