hey everyone,

I have been reading everyone's posts and just want to add my two cents.

The last time I checked, this was a forum wherein members could participate however, non members could still read posts.

Forums are about open discussion and debate. Any thread that is open is subject to both both discussion and/or debate. The only way to avoid anyone from challenging your viewpoint is NOT participating at all. Why should someone with an opposing viewpoint refrain from posting under the guise of the phrase "you are disrespecting my viewpoint". If you are brave enough to stand by your convictions and put yourself out there in public (be it cyber space or otherwise) you should be prepared for opposing views. This is life. Suck it up and deal with it. Crying foul every time someone disagrees with you and reporting posts/words based on the actual plot of the show should not be tolerated by the mods.

Where are the mods by the way? Do they want this forum to be a dead zone where everyone avoids each other for fear of upsetting someone? This is becoming ridiculous! Some common sense has to step in.

Vasu, annika, Antara, Genie, Redapple...I do not think you need to change the way you interact in this forum just because a few don't like it. I always read your posts and they have been more than exemplary. in fact there is always food for thought in your posts. Everyone cannot get their own way all the time. Sometimes majority and truth has to win.

Tanvi either you clearly misunderstood my post or you are intentionally seeing it in a twisted manner. I made an argument that TV can affect young viewers. That's all. Now let me get into the two responses I got.

1. Response 1-------(Calling out to you) "Look Tanvi people are giving gyan to us. People are sermonizing us." MOCK MOCK MOCK.
I don't understand where the "us" or "we" part comes from. Maybe the responder belongs to the group of young audience but how does that make my post directed to him/her personally? Does making a post on Jagya mean I am targeting all doctors personally? If a responder belongs to multiple social groups-----like urban viewers, college students, sportspersons, teen delinquent------does that mean every time I make a post talking about any of the social groups, it will be interpreted as a target on a specific person??

2. Response 2 i.e your response--------------NOBODY is affected by TV. WE ALL have morals and TV doesn't affect us.
This is again a fallacious logic. How can you make a general statement that TV doesn't affect anyone? Yes, you can speak for yourself and that's what I mentioned in my post too. That maybe TV doesn't affect you because u are a sensible girl and don't get carried away. But many do get affected. But no. You kept on dismissing the very premise of the argument and kept saying TV doesn't affect ANY young audience. How can you vouch for ALL the young audience all over the world?
It is your generalization that I countered with research. Because hundreds of researchers have written about the immense effect of TV. Since you have dismissed that very possibility of such a thing and have vouched for ALL audience, maybe you are right they are wrong.

That's all I wanted to say. I can understand when you protest against personal attacks, but digging out personal attack in everything and thinking the whole world is here to target YOU only is pathetic.
I am sorry if I hurt your feelings, but I hope you won't interpret everything from the tinted glass of "they are after me only".

I know about Antara's post. And I admit it could have hurt you. But then, you guys also were the first ones to take general discussions personally and started calling their discussions as moral lectures and mocked them.

If you feel so bad when someone replies to you like this, then you or others should also avoid mocking others and taking things upon yourself even when no one has taken your names!

Aha! So it was you who reported the posts? I hope my guess is right judging by your reply to me! Sir I only say don't take things personally. And calling a spade a spade is nothing wrong. Again I reiterate, boring, dumb or not contributing to TRPs such kind of stuff is subjective, personal and could constitute bashing. A mistress is a mistress just as a deserted woman is a deserted woman! That's it.

Okay keep reporting. But I and others shall keep speaking openly and honestly without specific agendas of bashing anyone or having a one up on other characters' fans! [I don't have any agenda to instigate wars between fans or bash any actor or character. I did not call Gauri a rakhail earlier too. It was only after her illegality was exposed I spoke like this. I stand by it and don't see I did anything wrong.]

I am not that touchy or sensitive about a fictional character, so from my side I can assure you I won't report if Anandi is called names. In fact I did not hit report button or spam mods with PMs even when Anandi and actress playing the role were being called dumb, not so good looking or lacking zing or being door mat or cry baby! I did not go crying to mods ever in past. Nor will I do it in future.

Nor do I bother if someone else goes banging on mods' doors if a mistress is called a mistress and the truth of a character is being discussed!

I don't know about others. But for me, being a fan of some character is different. And it does not mean I have to bash other characters too. If I have spoken out, I have spoken for wrong-doings they do or wrong message they represent, not for the characters or actors per se.
