gauri's mother knows that her daughter willnot get same respect as anandi .SHE TELLS HER TO THINK ONLY ABOUT HERSELF AND LEAVE FOR MUMBAI.

ya...how can she be soo selfish..nt 2 worry..at the good person win..nt any bad or selfcentered..gauri is like her mother

In this show anandi is shown with all sympathy (sypathy point of view )due to which we claim fault of evryone in the situation but why dont i see such posts ds,mother father of anandi ,tell me ,why dont we look at those points.but we keep making the list of mistakes of other people.i m sory but this is what i feel.

I get your point of Gauri's parents being uneducated and that may have contributed to some of their actions but that doesn't absolve them of everything they did.
1. Marrying off their daughter might have been their majboori but not all poor people marry off their daughter just like that. I mentioned another farmer couple who were equally poor but they refused to give their daughter as soon as they knew Jagya was married. So poverty is not the only factor here, it's also the parents' own thought and they cannot be excused for knowingly throwing their daughter into the mess.

2. I don't believe leaving Gauri outside the haveli was out of compulsion. I have watched that scene and it has always appeared to me that they were hoping the daughter will get accepted sooner or later into the Singh family if they leave her with the family. They were more concerned about not having their daughter back, than really caring about their daughter's feelings.

3. Yes agree with you Dadisa had a lot to do with this wedding. Nobody thinks she is innocent, she is the greatest culprit.

4. Gauri's mother surely understands the implications of the puja rituals and knows very well the internal dynamics of a married woman's life. She should have been the first one to understand why the family hadn't done the puja so far. Then if she really wanted to protect her daughter, she should not have pushed the matter. 'Uneducated', village people are not dumb, they understand the nuances of these things much more than many educated people. It was not hard for Gauri's mother to guess that Gauri's request for the puja could have brought insult and unpleasant attitude from the Singh family.

5. Regarding the mother's teaching the daughter to be selfish and to look into her own interest, even if that means being completely oblivious of another girl of the same age is a matter of individual perspective. For you it might seem normal, for me it's an example for bad motherhood. Bad mothers and good mothers exist everywhere, irrespective of cities or villages. Not all uneducated villagers teach their daughters the same thing---that's stereotyping. But again as I said, it's a matter of perspective----------something might seem perfectly normal to you, but I might find it unethical. So no arguments on this.

6. Dadisa has been criticized immensely in this forum and Anandi's parents are missing for a long time, so no posts on them. But if Anandi's mother teaches her the same thing then people will surely comment. Supporting Anandi does not mean blindly supporting everything about her or everyone in her family. But more than that, I guess Anandi will object to any active action of cruelty towards Gauri even if her mother tells her. That's what someone was saying in this thread, mothers might say something but it's up to you as an adult to assess if it's right or wrong. Anandi as an adult has her own value system and acts accordingly, not just by listening to anyone.
