dadisa is so very strict regarding customs and rituals . She even scolded phooli for coming in front of her while she was going out. Then how come she wears coloured garments(hindu widows wear white usually . In the film dor they wore black or something dark blue ) . even we can see dadisa sometimes wearing a red lehenga. And she is always present in every occasion . Then why does the customs apply only in the case of poor phooli and anandi . ????????

that is becoz she is negative...but most importantly she is an old lady....she has been following all the customs since her young ageSo whatever modern things come up...she will find it very difficult to leave her habits.
and regarding the white clothes....yes Hindu widows have to wear white clothes but none actually do so.They wear light colours like grey ,light brown etc

in rajistan white color is not necesary,.. even phooli was wearing bright blue when she became a widow during anandi's gauna.

u r rite. maybe this implies only on phooli cause she's young and dadisa is old and if those rituals and practiced with her she'll think nobody cares for her even though shs's the eldest of all in the house and she's grown her kids very well with having so much money without her man or husband. she'll also think that now she's being ignored by all his sons she should die or go to an ashram or even go and live with her relatives and not with her own two kids and their wives. 😭🤢

The strictness in following customs and traditions are for young widows, for older woman who have been widows for sometime the traditions are a little lax as they have proved themselves that they can lead the life of a widow successfully.
