Anandi-Phooli of Balika Vadhu Both are school friends, Phooli is a child widow but she is Anandi's best friend and now after five years both have maintained their friendship. Whenever they have time they both go to the village mela. Both share their feelings.

Apparently the 'new' Anandi is not new after all. According to a hawk-eyed couch potato, Pratyusha Banerjee who was launched as the grown up Anandi in
Balika Vadhu amidst much fanfare by the channel has reportedly done a cameo in Imagine's Rakt Sambandh.
Our source has also sent us a few screen grabs of her 'cameo' to prove her point.
We tried to check with people in the know of things, but understandably none of them were ready to comment. One source, however, on condition of anonymity, said, "Yes, there is a girl called Pratyusha in our show…but I am not sure of her
full name. I also do not know whether she is the new Anandi."
One look at the two screenshots and the similarities are impossible to deny– the smile, the eyes, shape of the face and of course the name (as confirmed by our source).
As for trying to reach Pratyusha it is an impossible task as Colors has forbidden her from sharing her contact details with the press.
Over to you, Anandi.
Pratyusha Banerjee did a cameo in Rakt Sambhandh? Balika Vadhu's new Anandi is not that new on television soaps. There are rumours that Pratyusha Banerjee was seen in a small role in on Imagine TV's Rakt Sambhandh.

How does it feel to have become the new Anandi?
I feel like I am on top of the world. I will make sure that I do complete justice to the opportunity I have landed up with. I am going to give in my 100 percent to the show.
Are you going to be any different from the younger Anandi?
The foundation of the character remains the same, that is, I will be the same Anandi who is chirpy and talkative but the grown-up version is quite poised and soft spoken. She will be more responsible towards her husband and family.
Have you done any show before Balika Vadhu?
No. This is the first time I am facing the camera.
Are you nervous?
I am not nervous but excited.
Tell us a bit about your background?
I am a Bengali and belong to Jamshedpur. I have done my schooling in Kolkata at St. Xaviers and am currently pursuing my graduation in commerce. I am trained dancer in Kathak and I sing too. I have participated in various competitions in school and college. I am the only child of my parents. This is the first time I have come down to Mumbai.
Did you ever imagine yourself as Anandi?
You won't believe but yes I did imagine myself as Anandi. I actually had imagined being a part of the show and used to think how would it be like to play Anandi when she grows up.
Why do you think people chose you?
I think I am quite similar to Anandi and the character stays in me somewhere. So people chose me. Also I am very chirpy and talkative like Anandi.
How did you get in touch with the production house?
I had forwarded my portfolio to the production house and that is how I got the offer. This was followed by a round of auditions and I was so happy to don the Marwari costume and jewellery and was so amazed at my reflection in the mirror. I looked so different.
It's going to be a challenging task for you as Anandi has done her bit for the show?
Yes, it is indeed very challenging. Viewers have voted for me and chose me to become the new fac e of Anandi among the three girls. I am very thankful to him and I would give in my best to impress them and meet their expectations.
What do you have to say about stern dadisa?
I fear dadi sa a lot. I havent met her as yet but have been told that she is very calm, nice and composed in real life.
What do you have to say about the practise of child marriage?
We are against this practise as this spoils and endangers our present and future. What's the point of making a girl marry at such an early age when she must actually study and grow up like any other child.
What if Anandi have to enter into motherhood? How will you react to it?
I will be very happy to become a mother on the show.

Vibha Anand It has to be the couple of young Anandi and Jagdish. They looked very cute together and I loved to watch them indulge in petty squabbles. Off-screen they were extremely notorious. They had transformed their make-up room into a cricket ground and would keep breaking glasses while playing. All the pleas to stop breaking things and maintain silence fell on deaf ears. They wouldn't budge and were fun to be with. |
"Avika Gor Is A Thorough Professional" Says Prabhakar Shukla |

Share Avika Gor A source says, "The movie is about the story of a twelve year old orphan, Baru and his fearless journey to free his sister, Anannya, from the clutches of the Devil Prince- Zukayu. Fondly called as Ani, she goes missing from home and Baru takes on the responsibility to find out her. The film will be released by this October." About her experience Avika says, "It was totally new to me as even I don't know the character. But once I read his (Baru's) character I got a hang of him." Dubbing for the animated character was a first-time thrilling experience for Avika because she had to pour out her own emotions into the dialogues of somebody else through her voice. Besides, it was challenging to lend her voice to the person who she is not in the know of. "She had to get under the skin of the male character and mould her voice to be a bit heavy," adds the source.
