Vikrant Massey who is currently seen as Shyam in 'Balika Vadhu' was a guest on Star One's upcoming show, 'Laughter Ke Phatke' where he had a gala time with the contestants.

"I was a guest for the second episode of 'Laughter Ke Phatke' and really enjoyed myself in the show. I gel nicely with everyone but my equation was best with Ali Asgar. I really admire him and we may work together someday," states Vikrant.

The actor was accompanied by his on screen wife Sugna (Vibha Anand). "Yes she was also present on the show as a guest with me. All I can say is that it was a laughter riot throughout the shoot," he adds.

Vikrant was very happy to be part of the show but there is one more reason for his cheerfulness. "I recently bought a new car... it's a Honda City. It is more special as it is the first car from my salary" and there's more in store, "Soon I will be buying a flat by the end of 2010," concludes Massey with a huge smile.

The stars are shining bright for Vikrant, isn't it?

Love time in 'Balika Vadhu'

'Balika Vadhu' is a show that has succeeded in making loyal viewers out of the television audience by time and again bringing in interesting twists in the story. As of now, Gehna (Neha Marda) herself goes away from her new born baby to save her self-respect but soon she will be seen uniting with her husband Vasant (Satyajit Sharma).

Ballika Vadhu producers talk about the success

Balika Vadhu has succeeded in attaining viewer's attention not only in India but abroad too and so we just found out from the makers of the show as to what is their formula for success.


We are talking about Origin Sphere heads Sujoy and Comall Waddhwa, who are behind some of the best serials on television today, including the popular trend-setter Balika Vadhu .

"We are quite the opposites but then opposites attracts."Sujoy said in the press. What's common between them is their zest for work, their inclination to create something different each time and their ability to take risks and all this has made them successful in their projects.

Further Comall said in the press, "We have consciously tried to do something new in every show. We believe only something that's different will grab the eyeballs."

The television medium, incidentally, was never on their minds few years ago. However, suddenly what happened that they were made to step in this industry; even they are clueless about it today. As their first tele film Phir Se, attained many accolades in 2001 and made their entry in this world of entertainment. Then came serials like Des Main Nikala Hoga Chand, Don, Saathi Re and many more.

Recently its Balika Vadhu, the show on child marriage, which brought in the social wave on Indian television. Now their new serial, Tere Mere Sapne has a male protagonist and is really doing well. About why he chose a male protagonist in his serial, Sujoy replied in the press."Mahabharat happened because of Draupadi, but let's not forget Krishna told the story and so even if a show is told from man's point of view, there are all the other ingredients which are intact."

About their future projects the couple said, "Lots of things are in the pipeline and so by Feb 2010 we will be able to say the what's next."

Cricket is one fever from which nobody can escape and this is what has happened with the team of Sphere Origin's 'Jyoti'. When they are not shooting the whole team of the show is busy hitting sixes on the set.

"We all play cricket on the sets of 'Jyoti'. I carry the cricket kit everyday and it's just so wonderful," states Varun who plays the character of Deepu in the show.

Our khabroo from the sets reveal, "It's lots of fun to see all the actors and the crew participating in cricket as a team. Recently, we had a match with 'Balika Vadhu' team and trust me, we won by 46 runs."

"Though 'Jyoti' may not be on the top of TRP charts when compared to 'Balika Vadhu', but we beat them hands down when it comes to cricket. Both the two shows are of same production house and we all live like one big happy family," adds the source.

Beside cricket, there is one more passion among the team of 'Jyoti'. "Well everybody has started dieting to look leaner. So everywhere you can find a diet food or drink. I can understand about the actors, but the crew behind the camera is also bitten by the size zero fad," concludes the source.

Hmm… seems like cast and crew of the melodramatic show 'Jyoti' is having the time of its life behind the scenes!

Khajan Singh trapped in jail in Balika Vadhu...

• The next move of Mahavir Singh in COLORS' Balika Vadhu is to trap Khajan Singh in jail...

  
  COLORS' Balika Vadhu is all set for yet another high point wherein Khajan Singh (Chaitanya Adib), father of Anandi (Avika Gor) gets arrested as the police find weapons in his farm house.
  
  This track will be played for two weeks or so, and will unfold many big secrets.
  
  According to our source, "It is very obvious that a guy like Khajan Singh will not do such a crime. He has been planted into all this mess by Mahavir Singh (Rajendra Gupta). Initially, nobody is aware of this, but as the track unfolds Bhairav (Anoop Soni) will get to know of this".
  
  With Khajan Singh in jail, Bhagwati (Bhairavi Raichura) will be lonely and will not find any support system to save her husband. "Actually, Bhairav and others in the family are stopped by Dadisa (Surekha Sikri) from helping Anandi's parents. Above all, Khajan is harassed by the police men in jail, and Bhagwati finds herself helpless. But when Bhairav gets to know that Mahavir Singh has trapped Anandi's father, he will go ahead in saving him from the clutches of law. An interesting court case sequence is also in the pipeline".
  
  When contacted, Chaitanya Adib told us, "Yes, it is true that Khajan will be harassed in jail. There will be some emotional moments shown where he is suffering in jail and Bhagwati finds herself lonely. There is high voltage drama to come".

As a New Year gift to the audiences the writers and makers of Balika Vadhu have promised to serve up some spicy fare. Currently all is well for Maasa (Surekha Sikri) and her family but soon there will be a huge turmoil which will shock everyone watching the show.

Our source from the show reveals," Right now Maasa is happy that her daughter- in- law has come back and is taking good care of Vasant's (Satyajit Sharma) son. But on the other hand Mahavir Singh, her old rival has decided to take revenge by planting weapons in Khajan Singh's farm. However Maasa is not perturbed with this as it is not a direct attack on her family. Soon Bhairo Singh (Anup Soni) will be successful in freeing Khajan from jail."

Moving ahead Maasa's happiness will once again be ruined when few more facts about her life will come to light. "It is heard that the entire family will come to know a shocking truth about one of Maasa's sons. In all likelihood Mahavir Singh will inform them that one of the sons is not the real son of Maasa, a fact which she has hid all along from them. It will be a big blow for Vasant and Bhairo, which will be followed by some more emotional high pitched drama. This track will come on air after a few weeks as it is still being worked on," a source adds.

To add to this there is yet another buzz that Maasa's family will soon come to know about how Sugna's father- in- law and his brother tried to kill Sugna's child. Madan Singh's brother is ready once again to create more trouble in Shyam and Sugna's life again. Currently Maasa is leaving no stone unturned in making life hell for Anandi. For Anandi too it seems that her hard times are not over, as her father is in jail and her mother is now unwell and Maasa is in no mood to let her or even Bhairo Singh help them.

With so much happening there is no doubt that the show will continue to rake it in.
