Saakshi Tanwar & Anoop Soni on Crime Patrol

TV's famous bahu Parvati Agrawal aka Saakshi Tanwar is back on the small screen.

Saakshi will be seen on Crime Patrol, which she will be anchoring with Balika Vadhu's Anoop Soni.

We spoke to Saakshi and Anoop about the show and more.

Saakshi said the show this season would be "focusing more on crime against women, children and senior citizens," and that was an important part of her association with the show. "We are trying to create awareness about the issue and will have helplines."

"There won't be any dramatization of the cases," she added.

Anoop said that there would be a cultural sensitivity maintained on the show and "no dramatization of the crime" would happen. "Whatever the police has investigated will be revealed and our team will be with them and bring the real pictures," he added, "and there wont be any verdict of the case."

Asked what inspired them to take up the show, Saakshi said: "I think this will be a platform to again connect with my audience. So far they have seen me as a particular character and I am fortunate enough to have got a positive response for that. This is an opportunity to display the credibility I have gained by playing different characters."

Anoop said: "I am happy with one soap and I don't want to give all 30 days in the month to one soap. I said yes to this because it's an opportunity to be connected to reality."

About the show

Crime Patrol will tell the stories of real crime. The focus would be on crime against women, senior citizens and children and highlight the effect of the crime on the family of the victim.

Pathshala to hit theaters in APRIL....

The wait is finally over. The theatrical trailer of Eros International and Paperdoll Entertainment's Paathshaala opens on January 22 along with Veer.

Amidst the current dismal situation of the Indian education system, Paathshaala could well be an eye opener for educationists and parents as the film depicts the various issues faced by children today.

Starring Nana Patekar, Shahid Kapoor and Ayesha Takia in pivotal roles, Paathshala is a film with a message that tries to answer several questions related to the sanctity of today's education system. It sheds light on the shortcomings and wrong doings in today's schools where the high morals and basic ethics associated with the teaching profession seem to have taken a back seat. The film attempts to challenge several harmful notions that threaten our children's future and thus, our society.

Paathshaala also stars popular child artists Swini Khara, Avika Gor, Ali Haji and Dwij Narendra Yadav.

In an innovative promotional move by the producers, major multiplexes across India will have attractive, colourful benches placed along with the film's standees to attract audience attention.

Presented by Eros International, Paathshaala is directed by Milind Ukey and produced by Shaira Khan (Paperdoll Entertainment). The film's story and screenplay are by Ahmed Khan and music by Hanif Shaikh.

Paathshaala hits theatres this April.

Every one is very happy that Nandu, the grandson of Kalyani is back home while on the other hand, Mahavir Singh realizes his mistake and he gives all the property papers back to Anandi's father.

What makes you feel good?
Doing good work, being appreciated for it and spending time with my family and friends make me feel good.

What do you do in your spare time?
I get very little free time but I spend time with my parents and brother. I have groups of friends and catch up with them as much as I can. I love going for drives and dinners. I have to watch a movie every night. I like going clubbing too.
Do you have a fitness routine?
I have none at all. I don't even go to the gym. I keep planning on beefing up but I just can't drag myself to the gym. But one day I will.

What is your favourite possession?
I love my car and the music system that I have installed. I recently bought a new phone. I am a simple person but I splurge on perfumes because I have to smell good at all times. Caroline Herrera 212 and Issey Miyake are my favourite perfumes.

What kind of a girl are you looking for?
She has to be unique and special, different from everyone else and yet simple. I should be able to talk to her as communication is the key. I want somebody who will take care of me and my parents when I am not around. I would love for her to cook for me but I also want to give her a very comfortable life.

Tell us about your family?
I have my mother Meena, my father Jolly and my elder brother Mohsin. My mother is always worried about where I am, my father is more like a friend and I have the highest regard for my brother Mohsin. He is a very simple guy but highly intelligent and very honest and true.

What is most important to you right now?
I want to do good work and make enough money to take care of my family because they have given me so much. I am grateful for all the work that is coming my way. I want to be seen as an actor. All my friends are dating and/or married and expecting. I do want to date somebody but I am pressed for time right now. I know it will happen when the time is right.

Do you have any dating tips?
I think the guy should ALWAYS pay. Take the girl on long drives, hold her hand, walk on the beach and take her to dinner. Talk to her and listen to what she has to say. Sing romantic songs for her. Drop her home safely. Make her feel comfortable. Smell good and be your charming best while being yourself

Drama in Balika Vadhu, Sugna delivers premature baby

Sugna is back at her parents' house to deliver her first baby by going against her in-laws in Balika Vadhu. But it won't be smooth sailing as there would be another twist in the tale.

A unit member informs, "Sugna will have a premature delivery. It so happens that Pratap's parents will come and claim the child considering he is their dead son's child. Sugna will not be able to take this trauma. Her past and present life will cause too much trouble in the family. She will have to be then suddenly rushed to the hospital. She will deliver a baby, however the further track is still being finalised. Maasa and the entire family will be in the hospital while Gehna will stay back with the children."

A unit member says, "This story will go on for at least a week and then we might again play with Mahavir Singh and Basant's relation. But till that time our focus will be completely on Sugna and her child."

Vibha Anand who plays Sugna says, "I am very excited about the baby. There would surely be a big twist, whether good or bad, one needs to wait and watch. We are also not aware about the new development in the script, so I cannot divulge any details."

Shyam's mother has already expressed her displeasure about Sugna being sent to her parents' house, but it was Shyam who backed Sugna and let her go. On the other hand Shyam's Tausa too is against Sugna's child, as it is her first husband Pratap's.

Vikrant Messay heading to Goa
TV actor Vikrant Messay aka Shyam of Balika Vadhu is taking a break by the end of this month. He will be heading to Goa with his close friends. This Goa break will be his major break from his daily shooting schedules.

Vikrant Messay: Nickname - Sonu
Vikrant Massey from Balika Vadhu is doing quite well these days and also has a few ladies fans and he says, "Well, I don't have a nickname per se but my parents used to call me Sonu, so few of my relatives also call me Sonu."

March 3,2010 (Sampurn Wire):The leading heighten and the major twist ever in the 'Balika Vadhu' after the death of Pratap (Jehangir Vakil) which gained almost nine TRP ratings for an episode, has already put the audience onto the hook by second electrifying twist that Avika Gor aka Anandi of 'Balika Vadhu' will end up her life. The promos of the track are already on air which is increasing the intensity of the audience to watch the show; shattered with many queries whether Anandi will die in the show? What will be the next track if the protagonist dies?

Apart from all these queries, one thing that has grabbed our mind is whether this high point will help 'Balika Vadhu' to grip again its dipping TRP's? Even if the channel is trying to promote and to make the audiences go wild with the promos on air, our source informs, "As per the track Jagya (Avinash Mukherjee) will leave the house due to low marks in the exams, eventually Anandi goes behind Jagya in search of him even after when she has been restricted by the family and then a big tragedy happens that becomes dangerous to Anandi's life and may cause fatal. Anandi may be shown dead which will bring a new track or new cast in her place or may be shown as she is slept into coma for some time and will make a come back with the routine."

But focusing on Avika's and Avinash's real life, our source also informs, "Avika and Avinash both have their annual exams coming and want to give a loyal justice to their real life results. Thus, this can be the reason why both of them will not be shown on screen for larger period of time and will make a comeback after their annual exams are done. As it is also said that till the period when Jagya and Anandi will be shown in trouble the whole track will concentrate more on the family members."

We tried calling Sanjoy Waddhva but he remained unavailable for the comments.

Well, but we never know what, how and when the track will take a new turn and may finally end on happy note. As per the television tradition many such high points, replacements of the cast and death tracks had taken place but only one thing has been stable and that are the serials.

So viewers what do you think should happen? Should Anandi die in the show? Will Masa be enough to entertain you? Are you ready to see Anandi in a new avatar? Or else you are ready to see Anandi replaced?
