Great opportunity for change & growth in Ram's character!

With last night's episode, I really like how it has opened up the space for growth and change in Ram's character. More than the realization of his love for Priya, I think the realization that he has not been the husband she deserved was accurate and very necessary. I won't say Ram has been completely terrible, he really has been the one who was more open and accepting of this relationship. In lots of ways, him embracing this marriage as a real one was a big part of Priya also recognizing this marriage was not one of just convenience, but one that actually mattered. He has shown his care, his concern and his respect for her in several ways as well ❤️

But Ram being continuously manipulated by his family has remained a huge issue throughout. Ram really struggles to trust Priya when his family add fuel to the fire, and this is despite him knowing she has a good heart and honest intentions, that she would never do anything to knowingly hurt him or his loved ones. Part of it is understandable given Ram has been with his family for 30+ years, so being married a few months is not going to change how he views his family, but now with being so close to losing Priya, at least his dimaag ki batti has been lit and he recognizes how much he has contributed to Priya's pain 💔

I wish the track ahead shows Ram taking initiative with trying to track what the truth behind the whole Anjali situation is. If he can find out the truth himself and then clear Akki and the Sood's of any guilt, that would not only prove to Priya that he cares for her but also that he is willing to listen to her as well. He loves her, there is no doubt in that, but he needs to trust her as well because at the end of the day, if he keeps being manipulated by his family, his relationship with Priya will always be one where there is doubt, misunderstanding and unnecessary fights 😔

Baaki this man is adorable as hell as he carries around the coupons his wife gave him everywhere like he is carrying a piece of her with him always ❤️...Bas thoda more trust in Priya and the chance to redeem himself for the more recent faltering in his behaviour, and I think they really could show Ram changing for the better. Nakuul anyways is a good actor, toh much better scope for him to perform and show another aspect to Ram!

Thank god the story is changing or else we usually have Ekta Kapoor script writers who make the villians and vamps 95% of the characters and two lonely ML AND FL and some two chamchas the story and invariably people get fed up of all these evil villains running aorund

Absolutely agree with what you have said. While walking to the temple one of the flashbacks was the look on Priya’s face when he is taking Shivi…it’s not that he did not realise the immense hurt his actions had caused to Priya. At that point in time and many more such occasions he was so blinded by his one sided love & false sense of responsibility for his family that he lost his ability to judge what is wrong and right.

The realisation yesterday was not that he was a bad husband but that he was not good enough and did not stand up for her when she needed him the most. He realised that he was so focussed on being a dutiful son and a caring brother and even being a faithful ex that he overlooked his responsibility as a husband.

This was also partly because all others in his life (except his friends) always portrayed themselves as needy and dependent on him. He always saw Priya as an independent and strong woman and hence subconsciously never thought he had any responsibility towards her except some symbolic actions. It’s true he always accepted her as his wife and family but had mentally compartmentalised his family and her as separate relations where sadly the family came first.

He had always liked her and respected her, the trust factor was missing and this would at times make his actions towards her insensitive and disrespectful, like the annulment papers and any episode with Neeraj where Nandini or Vedika would gaslight him and he would believe them without a second thought.

Hope the realisation brings are real progression in him and not a superficial realisation.

Thank you for such extended thoughts. We all thought about it while watching. Finally, Ram understood who his wife was, what she was worth, what he should do. Being Priya's husband is a big deal, an honor to be able to bear. Priya is a princess, but before that her prince was partially asleep, now he woke up and realized that Priya needs love, protection, warmth and help, much more than those who depict suffering and helplessness in front of him.

I believe that Ram will figure everything out, and with Akki too.

His way of wearing coupons everywhere is so romantic. For him, they are a sign of Priya, an opportunity to always be there.

I had written this earlier. Earlier Priya was not in the priority list, with this, she tops the list. Now whatever others say, he will stand with Priya. Now Priya needs to stand with him as well

Now she is his queen, she used to be too, but not in the full sense. And he will be her king. Together they can go any way

Waiting for romantic Ram… ❤️

The way he is scared to touch her or even go close to her… not sure how will he gather the courage to pull any romantic stunt 🤣

When Rama pulls hard, he becomes bolder and does not hold back. Think of a birthday, a sudden hug, or any other moment.

For example, when Ram removed Priya's hair tie before the rainy moment, the look was like a goddess and at the same time the one with whom you want to urgently give birth to 18 little Kapoors)

That part in green is incredibly true. Even when Ram fell ill and Priya said the family needed him, he questioned whether she needed him or not because she was so capable of looking after herself, people around her and the world in general. He doesn't realize that no one has stood by her for all these years, so she struggles to let anyone in and take their help. She is so fearful of people letting her down that she doesn't even let them in. She surely has let Ram in but is still so weary to accept it as love or anything close to it because the hurt and fear of the past, hidden deep down, is so intense.

It is a good time for Ram to realize that to really make Priya feel that he is there for her, is no longer only with his words, but with meaningful action, even if that means standing up to or against his own family at times. Fingers crossed this does happen! 😊
