I am liking the virus track. It might be lazy but they are sticking as close to the truth as possible. Covid attacks everyone differently and we have no idea when will NM return on the sets (post covid recovery is slow as you become very weak). So they can continue with this track for as long as it is required and at the same time give a plausible reason for the ML ‘s absence. This track will give relief from the Vedika track. This track will bring Ram Priya closer. Who knows how will Nandini and Shubham react to Ram’s illness. Mostly bordering on indifference. So this track can also be used to expose the step family in front of Priya.
