Ram read her note, his heart suddenly seemed to experience tachycardia. He took his mobile and dialled her number fast. He couldn't wait to talk to her. his small heart was slamming against his chest, he never expected such a response from her. as he was about to swipe his screen to call, his phone rang. Irritatedly he clenched his teeth. Recognizing it as an important business call, he took a deep breath and attended. "yes Amir" he said. "Sir I am really sorry, but the deal we were overlooking to be finished today just slipped away from our hands" he said, his voice was coated by fear, it trembled as he spoke to his boss. Ram didn't speak for a minute. "I guess I gave you all instructions clear" he said after a while "sir but, I am really sorry" Amir stammered "no don't be sorry, just tell me that you cant do a damn little thing without me" Ram nearly shouted. "Leave it Amir" saying Ram cut the call before Amir could explain. He threw his phone on the couch nearby. Walking up to his room, he quickly pulled a black shirt and blue jeans and changed to them. Grabbing his car keys he left to the garage. Roughly he opened the door of his car and threw himself in. "the deal, damn that, I explained him so clearly" Ram muttered as he hit the steering of the car hard. It pained his hand but that didn't bother him. "why does such things happen to me" he kept talking as he increased the speed of the car pressing his leg hard on the accelerator. His car always knew his moods and it behaved according to its master. He still couldn't digest that the deal slipped away their hands. Fretting and fuming he headed the car to an unknown destination.

Priya came home early morning. She saw Kate sleeping in her room, dropping a kiss on her forehead she left to her room. She checked her mobile. A sudden wave of sadness crossed her face annd a lone tear escaped her eyes. She tried hard to control her tears, but it was all in vain. She ran to the washroom and splashed water over her face. she needed to be strong. But she couldn't. "Priya" Kates voice came from behind. Priya spun around to see her "Kate, its nothing" "Priya don't try to act smart, I know what you were doing, for gods sake will you forgot about that" she said. Priya moved out of the washroom not looking at Kate "Priya I am talking to you" Kate called "Kate please, I am really trying too ok, I am really" Priya said as tears fell from her lovely eyes which gave strength and courage to many people. Kate rushed to her and hugged her tightly baby please, just forget it Priya" she said. Priya nodded hugging Kate "I am really trying Kate" she repeated. "sshhh,, I know, I know, now just take a nice shower, have food and sleep" Kate said and wiped away those tears which has poured down from the beautiful eyes on her pink cheeks. Priya gave her a smile and left to fresh up. She let the warm waters of the shower take away all the tension and exhaustion.

Drying her hair, she came to the kitchen to see Kate cooking. "Kate, I would have done the cooking really" Priya said "No problem yaar, my sandwiches are not so bad ok" Kate said. Priya went and stood near her, seeing her preparing the sandwiches. Kate seemed little worries "Kate? Is anything bothering you?" Priya asked her "nothing much, leave it" she responded "kate whatever it is just tell me" Priya said. "well its about Ram" Kate hesitated a bit. "well actually I am trying to reach him from morning and he didn't pick my calls. Gran took it and she said he left early morning in the car, before she waked up and his phone was at home" "so?" Priya asked "so, probably he is terribly upset on something and gone for a ride" Kate said. "he goes on a ride when he is upset?" Priya asked "I guess I told you that, well that's not the problem, he usually takes his phone, don't know how hes doing" Kate said worriedly. "excuse me Kate, I will be just back" Priya said and left to her room. She took her phone and dialled a number. "Cam, I gave you a bunch of flowers and a letter, did it reach Ram?" she asked "yeah doc, I made sure it reach him, it reached him early morning" he said "thanks Cam, I will see you tomorrow" she said and cut the call. covering her face with her palms she thought "Is he upset that our dinner was cancelled? Why hasn't he called me after he got the flowers?" she thought. "Sandwiches ready" Kate shouted opening the door. Priya smiled and left with her.

"Kate I need to tell you something" Priya said. "go ahead, since when are you asking my permission?" Kate asked "Kate, actually Ram called me for a dinner yesterday night" Priya said slowly. The sandwich which Kate held fell thud on the plate, Kate looked at Priya blankly. "are you serious?" she asked "why should I joke?" Priya asked "Ok, so you guts went yesterday?" she asked "No, actually I was tired and slept in my cabin, and Ram had come to pick me up and he left me a note" Priya told her. Kate pulled her chair closer to Priya. "Priya is it my friend Ram we are talking about?" she asked. "uff, how many Ram do we know?" she asked. Kate laughed "god, Ram asked for dinner" repeating this she laughed. Priya felt annoyed "Stop it Kate" she said "Priya you don't know how big this is, according to you its just a dinner, but" "but what?" Priya asked "Ram has never gone on dinner with anyone before Priya, he has never, I have tried to push him but he hasn't, this is weird" she said "whats weird?" Priya asked "I mean this dinner thing, all seems so fishy, I cannot believe its Ram, and he never said me a word" Kate said "Kate, that's not the point now, I am just wondering if he is disappointed because of me" Priya told her "99.99% there are chances, coz first time he wants to go with someone and its cancelled, he must have been disappointed" Kate said "but he could have woke me up" Priya said. kate glared at her "Oh, wake you from deep sleep and take you for dinner, my friend is not so bad Priya" Kate said. Priya nodded "I feel bad, can we go and check in his home?" Priya asked "yeah sure, I will get ready" Kate said and turned to levae. Walking halfway to her room she came back to Priya "Priya, have you told Ram about..." "no, I haven't, Ram and I barely speak, I think its not needed" she said "Priya, but the way Ram behaves to you, I think its better to tell him or not indulge yourself again with him" Kate said. Priya looked at her "He didn't behave like anything to me" she said. "Priya, I have been with Ram for 10 years, he hasn't behaved like this to any girl, you must be special to him, he must have some different feeling towards you, so its good to tell him, that's what I am trying to say" Kate said. Priya nodded "Well then, I have to not indulge myself with him again" Priya said. kate sighed "whatever, your insane really" she said and left to her room.

Half and hour later both the girls were set to leave, in their jeans and kurti. As Priya looked the door, Kates phone rang. "sir" Kate answered. "now, should I come now?" she asked. after a while she cut the call "Priya I am really sorry, but I have to leave you, you know na my boss, sorry, I really love you" hugging Priya she left hurriedly. Priya stood thinking what to do. Making her mind she went to her red Volkswagen GTI. Keeping her back on the front seat she headed towards Ram's residence.

The black Audi seemed to fly on the road, causing people to turn their heads and take a look at the rash driver. Ram didn't seem to have calmed a bit. His hands seemed to have frozen on the steering, they were pale. His stomach growled, he didn't bother. he took a deep breath closing his eyes, as he opened he noticed he was going to crash on an old lady. Releasing his half frozen leg from the accelerator, he pressed the sole of his foot on the brake. Just inches away his car stopped, producing a loud noise. He parked his car on the side of the road, then opened his door and ran to the lady "are you ok, I am sorry" he said immediately. He helped her cross the road and ran to fetch her water from his car. "I am sorry" he said again and gave her the bottle. "I could have killed you" he whispered. The lady kept her hand over his head "son, If it was gods wish I would have died today, but god didn't want me to, which means you cannot kill me even if you wanted to. God bless you" she said and left. Ram rested on his car. The same words "everything will happen as it is destined" Priya's words came to his mind. He ran his hand through his hair. After a few minutes, he got into his car and turned it towards the city.

Ram's Granny walked towards the door expecting her grandson. As she pulled the door open, she saw Priya standing there. his granny knew that this girl had something in her, which no one had, a kind of magic to control her grandson "granny, I am so sorry to come and disturb you, but can I see Ram?" she asked. "come in Priya, Ram is not here now, I don't know when he will be coming" she said "Oh, I am sorry then I will talk to him later" Priya said. she started feeling bad. "Priya, its nearly 2, have lunch here, I have a feeling that he will be here soon" gran said. Priya nodded. They sat to have lunch as one of the servant served them. "Priya, can I ask you something?" his granny asked. "yes" she said. "today Ram is very upset, often he gets upset and being old I can never control him. he never shows his feeling towards me, but I have a feeling that is calm when you are there" she stopped to see Priya. Priya was giving a blank expression "Priya, are you thinking he is upset as you didn't go with him yesterday?" gran asked. Priya was taken aback, thinking how gran came to know about the dinner. She gave a small nod. "If you then its wrong, actually he was very happy when he came back. he came back late and checked my room, he said me he was very happy at the moment" Gran said "Means, Ram is upset on something else?" Priya asked "I don't know his problem, but I know the solution, the solution is you, will you make him alright?" gran asked. Priya looked at her stunned "granny, I .." she stammered "Please Priya don't deny, no one can do this other than you" she said. Priya looked at the woman who had so much love for her grandson. She smiled "I will make him normal, I promise you gran" she said. "I don't want anything else from you, just this" gran said as Priya smiled in assurance. But Kates words disturbed her "tell him, else don't involve yourself with him".

As the sun was about to go back to rest, Ram parked his car on the garage. He looked at the the other elegant red car which stood there. "who might have come" he wondered and walked to the door.

"Gran, I will see to it" Priya said and walked to the door. Before she could reach, the inviter rang the bell nearly five times. "who is so impatient?" she thought and opened the door. There he was, he looked all messed up. His hair was untidy, but it suited it, his face looked tired but the charm was there. "Oh, hi, Ram" she said. he was starring at her, like she was a ghost in the house. "how come she looks fresh as an apple always" he thought. she raised her brow, seeing him glaring at her "gosh, those eyes, they really drive me mad" he thought. "Ram" she called "jesus, this voice, more sweet than a nightingale, I can listen to them my whole life" he thought. "Ram" saying she shook him. he jerked his head "Oops, hi" he muttered. "you look ridiculous" she said. he looked away from her "I will see you" saying he left to his room.

"how did she come here? And why?" he thought as he paced in his room. Rubbing his two hands he left to fresh himself. Wearing a navy blue turtle neck tee and cream trousers he came down. He saw Priya and his granny talking "hi" he said and dropped himself near his gran. "Ram, where did you leave without informing me" she asked "sorry gran, had some work" he said uninterestedly. Priya understood that his problem was because of his work. "Ram, shall we go for dinner tonight?" Priya asked. "actually, I .." "Please" she added and pleaded through her eyes. He looked at those eyes, his vision blurred, he wasn't able to see anything expect those two divine eyes, which were pleading him so beautifully. Shaking his head "ok then" he said. "Ram your phone is here" his gran gave him the phone. "thanks gran, so I will go with Priya and be back" he said. he gran smiled "god bless both of you" she said.

As Ram was about to take his keys, Priya held his hand "We will go in my car" she said. he nodded. "shall I drive?" he asked. "no, you can sit and relax, you must be tired driving the whole morning" she said. he looked at her "how do you?" "Its not rocket science, Kate was worried about you" she said as they got into the car. She ignited the engine "I have left her a message now" ram said. they sat silently "Ram we will go to the beach and then dinner, if its ok with you" she said. "yeah I need some air" he said. she drove the car to the beach. They got down and started walking.

Ram was looking down seeing her feet making prints on the sand, seeing it made him smile. "but what your doing is bad" Priya told him "what? Did I do?" he asked looking up, stunned. "your being selfish, you went for a drive to calm yourself down, leaving you mobile here. Do you have any idea how many people were worried about you?" she asked. "how many?" he asked smiling. Priya sighed. "you know I have never allowed people to ask me such questions" he said. "Well if so, then let me tell you, I cannot stop myself from asking, that's the job I do" she said. "I never stopped you Priya" he said. she looked away. "were you among those people who was worried about me?" he asked. "tell me honestly" he said. "yes I was, Acutally I thought you were upset as we couldn't go for dinner" she said. he chuckled "very thoughtful doctor" he said. "but, Ram, life is full of trails, we have to face them and keep running, whatever life gives we should accept it, not grumble or be upset over it" she said and sat on the sand. He dropped himself beside her a few inches away he "sorry, I wont do like this again" he said. Priya looked at him. "why is he listening to all what I say?" she thought. "but you know, things that annoy me, irritate me, upset me happens always, as if they are created for me" he said "Ram, life will keep bringing you the same test again and again, until you pass it. your problem is you don't think and act. Whenever you feel upset, just stop, think for while, trust me you will feel the difference" she said. he looked at her "she is an angel, she can turn all my worries in a second into happiness. Her words made so much sense. All my flaws, my mistake, my joy, my sadness I want to share all these with her. only her." he thought. "Ram are you ok? Sorry if I have crossed my limits" she said. he smiled "No, actually I have waited a really long time for someone like you to come into my life, now you are here, I just hope you are a part of my life a little longer" he said. Priya smiled, "is he trying to tell me something?" she thought. "so now we are friends, you can correct me in anyway, just like Kate" he said. "You're a nice man Ram, really just like Kate said people will know you only when they are closer to you" she said. he looked up and gazed at the star filled sky. "beautiful isn't it?" she asked. "mm yes..!! " he said. "but, I didn't have any food from morning" he said "I am really sorry, lets go" saying she stood up. He smiled "Its okay relax, I wont die" he said "not funny Ram" she said as they walked back to the car.

She parked the car on the side of the road. He got down and looked around. "Priya I don't see any hotel here" he said "Ram its in the opposite side" she said pointing the other way. "Priya I don't see anything" he said. she came and grabbed his hand "just come with me, if you need the best food" she said. he looked at his arm, where her hands were resting now. He smiled looking at her "I wont run away Priya" he said. she removed her hand immediately. as they crossed the road, Ram's eyes were fixed on her. she was looking the either side of the road making sure they were safe. As he walked behind her, spell bounded by her elegance and grace, he failed to recognize the the small stairs which were present and tripped. As he stumbled Priya immediately held his through his waist, trying her best to support him. his hands held her tightly for support and he steadied himself. As she moved, her hair covered his face, the strong fragrance made all his higher centres stop their function. "are you okay?" she asked "you smell so good Priya, you look beautiful" he said as their eyes met.
