Agree with you too Lalitha and Ravichitra.

Apart from Ram having his own insecurities, Priya has hers too. She really is afraid of rejection, especially after her experience with Ashwin (Priya really did love Ashwin, she admitted it to her Dad). Having experienced a first love and recognising how lame and immature it really was. She believes that the feelings that she has for Ram is true love – intensely strong and all consuming. Ram did not respond by reciprocating her feelings when she provided him with the opportunity to do so, which leads Priya to believe that she is indeed his good 'friend' and that he is fulfilling his responsibility as such. She is fighting an internal battle, her mind knows that Ram does not love her, so she is forcing her heart to understand this, and therefore the frustration is inadvertently compelling her to act irrationally displaying uncharacteristic behaviour. By not giving him the opportunity to speak means not hearing those dreadful 'friendship' words that she has already conditioned her mind with.

That's exactly what I was thinking while watching that scene! When she said that she should have just kept quiet about her feelings, and kept going on with the "compromise marriage" charade, it showed just how she was upset at herself for falling so weak in front of him and more importantly highlighted the fact that she was terrified of actually hearing Ram say that he didn't love her. As long as he didn't say anything, she can try and live in her own dream world, but I don't think she would have been able to take the heartbreak of him coming clear out and denying his feelings for her! The desperation and fear was obvious in her eyes, and she looked utterly defeated when she tried to walk away, cursing both herself and her fate!

Thank goodness Ram had his hands working at just the right moment and stopped her from leaving, giving us and Priya a moment we will all cherish! What a way to put an end to all her doubts :)

I agree... I also think she deliberately uses the "compromise" word too many times just to try and make him get angry and blast out and finally admit that he was wrong in using that word !

Fantastic reasoning lalita ji 👏...even i was wondering the same thing...you explained it so logically...youve put my thinking track on the right path...thanks.

Yes priya is suffering from "FEAR OF UNKNOWN"...thats why she didnt let ram speak...
It was the result of yesterday night's drama.

Priya did have an inkling that ram loved her...she opened HER HEART out to him. But he stood there dumb. No answer.
Negativity crept in her.
His silence, unfortunately silenced her dreams and emotions and sent her into a frenzy thereby.

PS: i hope angie you are reading this. 😊

Agree absolutely.
At times the simplest things become toughest to understand.
Priya's mind is in a state of massive turbulence.
She is desperately searching for a shore.
Hope the kiss silences this storm and and lifts the veil of darkness and fear that has clogged her mind :)

Agree totally.

Also I think, after once facing a humiliation in the Ashwin episode... even if she's 99% sure now that Ram loves her, she would still want to wait for the actual confession before she starts soaring !

That is quiet possible. She has always been 2nd to everyone at home. Her greatest fear is of rejection from Ram who has become the person she loves the most in the world.

Priya has learned this from Ram ..

In past whenever Ram was upset or angry .. and Priya wanted to talk to him or wanted to explain him.. he says - I don't to discuss it .. Time out .. End of it .. and he will leave the room .. (Many times)

Priya has always cooled herself and tried for a fresh start ..

The only way she was able to make him listen was to scream ... remember first time cooking scene ...

Ram is loud and Priya is also loud when they want to make their point ...

so it is ok.
