Its her real mom re...but her behaviour towards her is strict cauz...thier nature r different n dey love each othr very much.

Even i think she is her step-mom bcoz she keeps referring to Ayesha and Karthik as "mere bache", "mere bachon ka bhavishya" etc. also when she had to buy a ring for that fellow her dad also mentioned to her why for ayesha and karthik all new and for priya old stuff...i think it will be revealed later that she is her step mom.
