Tintiny
Yes its too early to be judgemental abt this show. But for a first time viewer of an EK show, I would wait and watch how the drama unfolds and see whether this show merits my attention.
One thing I dont understand for sure, why should Indian serials have the same old old formula of stepmom being a hurdle to her son/daughter?
Why should the man or woman wait for the mom to help in fixing up an alliance for them?
There always seem to be a dicotomy in the portrayal of man-woman relationship and far off the mark of whats happeneing in real life!!

I agree with Sonali, the treatment of the story so far has been very ordinary. Like Kantaben yes I would also wait and watch but very frankly the first two episodes has made me very very sceptical. A double graduate is teaching TOEFL class that too somebody like Keats, was hard to digest but it shows clearly the makers have not done their basics..the head teachers shout at Priya in front of the students, deducts her one day pay, if Priya is so good what is she doing in tution classes, as in India you do tutions to supplement your income.. The whole episode was very very amaturish...and BT is running now for decades...I am sure they can afford better writers...As much as we should not jump to conclusion after seeing only two episodes but sorry to say, Ekta has not shown anything different to make us think otherwise...
Acting wise Ram and Sakshi are good but Ram you better start reducing, the logic you gave for your 'motapan' is not good enough...and to romanticise you we would prefer a slimmer version, jokes apart, I think in this industry it is no more fashion to be overweight, for your family and yourself you must control yourself too...

okk..here is my opinion...first two episodes for me were pretty engrossing...and yes this show is quite ketaish...but hello isn't this a kekta show? not everything is realistic in her show, but still she has created sum amazng shows in the past such as KUTUMB, i'd say that they were sum unreaistic elements in that show also, but there was a lot of realistic also, and I enjoyed it, as off now nothing too cringe worthy has come to my attention, the evil mother is not as evil as sum of the kekta shows, she is pretty normal, yes even I find it a lil weird how both of them are sooo ever sacrificing, especially Ram, when his family treats him like this! but I guess that is understantable because it is very much possible that he got engrossed in business, he is a shy type of person, he has no life partner, hence he likes to be delusional about the fact that his family loves him! as of priya, her family seems way too selfish, why is she earning for them in the first place? although again it can still be feasible, as both parties might've gotten used to it, but sumone said that why is it such a big deal? i think it very much is! even in the western world people make comments such as ur 'biological clock is ticking' hence I feel that so far the show makes sense, although I dun understand why priya's parents are soo selfish, and why does priya pay for almost everything, but i guess her double degree took time, and after that I guess they just got used to her earnings! but sumwhere I feel which parents will wait till their girl turns 33, but I suppose once she hit 28, the ristas sort of decreased, i dunno, but her parents seem selfish, does anyone want to help me out here, what are her parents waiting for?

@NK, since I have two minutes before I start getting ready for office I will reply to your post...I was pretty open minded before watching this show, I hoped Ekta would surely do something different. In urban India it has now become quite a practice that girls will first earn and then get married...it has become a norm with the middle class society here, hence Priya earning should not be seen as a sacrifice, I would have rather watched that her parents are worried as Priya is more interested in her career, maybe building a school for herself then to get married as her biological clock is ticking...yes as parents they have the right to be worried...
Regarding Ram I will still reserve my comments as men in general can be very cunning in the boardroom but at home they do not see the obvious things...and yes for a change ekta could do away with the scheming step mother...it would have been a refreshing change...

I still feel it is a lil unrealistic, since she has turned 33, and she has a fit father at home, soo yeh, I also agree that it wud be refreshing if they had done away with the evil step mother, that is very kektaish, but I guess, she does not seem too vampish, which makes me feel ok

Actually Tinni I will wait and watch as of now...lets give Ekta sometimes to shape it up...as for Ram I think he also needs to reduce a lot as Sakhshi is so slim and trim😊😳

I guess my expectations were too high. A good concept being let down by bad writing. I'll continue watching it for a little bit more..but so far I'm disappointed..

Hey Tintiny, according to Ram, being over weight for him is a blessing in disguise.DNA May 2011.
Wonder when was the last time he took a good look at himself in the mirror and say, playing a fat
dude over and over is great, but my health is greater.

As for the show, I will give it a chance, but I can't foresee much coming out of it after the misleading
promos for something new and different.
Society are evolving each day for the better where women are concern and so too they should evolve
with the times in a serial though its fiction. Enough with the sappy innocent female character who is
waiting to be swept off her feet through an arrange marriage.
