Dear Friends,
There is a saying leopard seldom changes its spots. Even if Leopard does change its spot I think Maayi will never change hers. Inspite of making a mark in Bollywood for different kind of films, Maayi has the same old formula for her TV shows...Aajki do baatein
1) The step mother reveals herself, her selfish intentions for the betterment of her children. She does not want Ram to get married ever...what I failed to understand, Ram such a successful man is waiting for his 'mom' to fix his alliance In this era and time it looked out of place...yes when you are 20 but not at 40...I mean does he asks for her permission before leaving home for office??
2) I am fed up of seeing Miss Little Goody goodies, like a typical hindi serial heroine, Priya is ever so sacrificing does not get hurt or even if she does she is smilling and doing ever pleasing things...whereas me I think it is my birthright to fight with my mom still😛 Somehow I could not connect with Priya, the matured lady she is I understand but mom is mom and somewhere you should show some believable scenes...
Jate Jate...I am also surprised to see the potrayal of Priya's sister Ayesha...she does not want to become a super model instead wants to get married!! At this age ? I mean now every girl likes to have her own identity before she takes the pheras!
Last but not the least, so much so for a different show, except the age of the hero heroine, everything is the same I feel...must confess the promos were misleading but will stick around for first few months just to see RK and ST chemistry being built up...it will be ruined later anyway so till then friends, your thoughts..Love Tin

I totally agree with you. I am gonna enjoy RK and ST for a few months and after that, I just may have to quit if it gets boring. Lets see how long I can take Ekta Kapoor this time.

I just feel it's way too early to judge the show.

it like because it's an Ekta show people have already make their mind to point finger at every little thing/mistake they make.

whatever happen to being open minded.

every other shows on TV right now are like the same thing that Ekta has shown before but that does not stop others from copying her now does it?

anyway I'm loving it.

The leopard will change it spots if we stop judging it. There has been two episodes only. Lets wait a lil before jumping the gun, shall we?

I have to also disagree with you. Priya isnt exactly a typical female lead- This girl has some spunk. She isnt the cry baby or the moping queen. She isnt into lectures as well, which is a relief. She didnt barge on the Ayesha to lecture her on how she shud marry for love bla bla.. As for Aisha, many girls just wnat to marry- yes even in this day and age. I am 20 and many of my friends are married.. Shocker but true.

So far I havent seen any unreasonably evil people. Priya's mom character was very well-explained today. I could understand her even if I couldnt approve her views. Ram's mom- well she is a step mom and that typical evil saas in the making. But when she said she is protecting her family once again we see a mother protecting her kid's best interests. What she is doing is wrong but not illogical-

Then what was the whole love bhaashan that she was giving to her TOEFL students yesterday?? That wasn't a lecture on love and what all to marry for/do in life???😆😆...Priya is definitely being shown with some typical K-soap cliches...which is unfortunate...Sakshi deserves better written material...baaki toh time will tell as the show progresses.

No she didnt.. There is a difference between a sermon(bhashaan) and expressing an opinion. Priya believes people should marry for love and she just defended her opinion. She didnt go into mahaan mode and start talking about how unprincipled it is to marry for money.. She even let Tina go on to stick to her opinion. She merely asked how long do you think u can stay with someone's money till u feel lonely? I dont think that as a lecture-😊 I was talking about how she treated Aisha's declaration and not Tina's- So you took my quote out of context..😛

You want to see a lecture- watch parvati in action😆

And I am sure as the show progresses things might get better or worse.. But for now lets just give it a break or stop watching it...😊

Thank you for the advice but I have seen Parvati and the rest of the K-bahus in action so I'm well aware of bhaashan mode😊

I found Priya to be PREACHY in that scene and I will stick by that opinion...to each their own...but I would have liked to see a more SUBTLE treatment to Priya's character which doesn't need preachiness in any form...there are other ways to express an "opinion" as a teacher as you are terming it...to me she went beyond expressing just an opinion given how she was going on waxing poetic about love fundas...poor quality of writing.

WHY does a character need to go on giving elaborate "opinions" on love like this?? Romanticism ki bhi hadd hoti hai...what about some REALISTIC characters?? What is the use of having more mature characters in this show if they are also just going to sit and talk all dreamy eyed about love?? "Kaash uski zindagi mein bhi koi aaye jo use pyar de" types...god...cringe inducing lines.
