Watching the last 2 days episode, I thought that Manju was just the right person to tackle Chimpti & Chameli. She saw how they insulted her husband by simply handing over their saris to the servants after frowning @ it. Indeed, I think having Chimpti married but in this house is a stupid track. Hopefully, Pari knows how to insult her once she is married, and particularly rubs in the fact that Chimpti is living in her maayka.
I didn't get why Kopal has to do Pari those favors anymore. I felt bad for her when Chimpti's insults hit her. Even if Kopal does fall for Veehan, she should take it as a warning sign that there are serious problems w/ this family, and not marry into it, even though we all know that that's what she'll ultimately do. Also, in the function, Kopal could have simply gotten to know other people, like Rimzhim somewhat better, instead of trying to hunt for Adi's number. Incidentally, did she get it in the end?
I didn't get it - why is Bharti angry w/ Kopal? And why didn't Veehan tell Bharti that Kopal told him something that he already knew, from what Pari told him? Anyway, one thing good about this is that Kopal gets time to study this family and determine whether she really wants to join her sister - I hope they don't just dump her on Veehan just b'cos nobody is there to marry him.
But the funny part was Adi doesn't seem to care much for Pari - he seems like he's marrying her just b'cos he's forced to. To answer your question, Jas, from yesterday, the reason Bharti couldn't have asked for Kopal's rishta alone was that Pari being the elder daughter, not only would Shrivastava have declined that, but even Manju & Dadi would have declined it, since it would have made Pari seem like a loser if her younger sister got married b4 her.
Update: I just saw the episode. Boy, is Bharti one more of those 'Neeche kato, upar chato' vamps.
I mean, the temper she showed on Veehan & Kopal, if she had shown even a fraction of that on Jasmine, Gau, Mridang in the past, things would have been okay today, and Murli would probably still be alive. She always enjoyed playing doormat to everybody else, and now, she is a bully!
And why can't Kopal just tell Bharti that Pari wanted to marry Adi, not Veehan? As it is, they're in trouble. Was Bharti miffed @ seeing Veehan w/ Kopal b'cos of the groom's elder brother seeing the bride's younger sister? If so, I think she might be opposed to Veehan-Kopal match for a while, which would be good from Kopal's POV. Let Pari get exposed in her sasural w/o Kopal as a cover-up.
The other thing - if Bharti thinks Veehan is being mahaan and shut him up for that reason, why does she herself act mahaan - still? For starters, she should have kicked Jasmine & Chimpti out of the house.
Speaking of which, I think it would have been better had Gau taken the real Jasmine w/ her, instead of Veehan. Of course, Murli wouldn't have been murdered, but they could have still had him too disappear during the leap like Jhumka, and then had a normal family minus Chimpti & Chameli.
