Yamini did try to apologize few times but what's not connecting is.. how she is going about it.
She keeps adding to the fire and riling up Nikumbh. .. somehow.
She says.. sorry..mujhe aapse baat karni hai.. but doesn't elaborate..which looks like she still feels what she did makes sense and she would do it again if the situation were to repeat. To her ..end justified the means.. even if it came at the expense of breaking a friend's trust and manipulating his creative vision.
All her attempts to say sorry don't show a genuine regret of the actual issue.that she did distort and manipulate Nikumbh's vision..deliberately and after saying she will not do that.
I feel.. if she just says.. okay..look..I was wrong. should have known better...clear cut..and then figure out how to mend the bridges..I can relate ..
All this "sorry..mujhe apni baat karne ka mauka deejiye.." stuff is most un-Shakuntala like..more like playing the victim card
Her glee at Bollywood guy saying ..that she needs to work with Nikumbh.. made it even more obvious how disconnected she is to actual issue..No one can be that oblivious
Her responses at press conference ..trivialized the actual issue.
I don't think she has really evolved much at all and has a long way to go.
I hope writers figure a way out of this to make Yamini relatable and multidimensional
.I really want to be able to empathize with both leads .. otherwise the show won't be watchworthy
