Krishna and drapaudi were friends. Best friends This brother sister theory is something that people came up because ofcourse not many can digest a man and woman being just friends.

No he didn't participate in the Swayamwar

There is no way that Arjun wasn't in his early thirties by the time of Swayamwar

Krishna and Draupadi had platonic friendship, no brother sister angle there, people added that just because accepting friendship between boy n girl wasn't easy for them

Oh well, we can go with our gut instinct I guess.

It's not faith to believe the characters lived above 100 years in Dwapara yuga. There is scientific evidence to support that lifespan of people 5000 years ago (when MB happened) was almost 150-200 years. Historians themselves state this, so it's not something based on faith alone. According to science, lifespan decreases with every era due to various elements like pollution, lack of exercise, diff foods, medicine, etc.

Bhishma and all the older characters were definitely 100+ years. People were not considered "old" until they reached 150 at least. After all, with Bhishma's great-grandons (Abhimanyu/Upa Pandavas) being old enough to fight in the war, he couldn't have been young, lol.

Lifespans in that era were shorter, not longer, than what they are today. Like it is faith to believe that Rama lived for 10,000 or 11,000 years. It is also faith to believe that people in the first 3 Yugas lived longer than people in Kalyug.

If you consider that people then typically married and had kids much earlier - in their teens, then it's easy to see how Bheeshma and Abhimanyu could have participated in the same war. Like if Bheeshma was 90, chances are that Dhritarashtra was around 50, Arjun around 30 and Abhimanyu about 16. And yeah, child marriage was prevalent, for both girls and boys
