I am using the same version CS5 but i am having the option of animation not timeline 😲

Ah, then that's what you need to open. Sorry, but now only CS5 users can help you further, because I use CS6 ext. and the timeline panel. 😳
BTW, the basic steps I mentioned are bound to be same.

@Aditi in cs5 can you see frame animation? If yes then click on the button at the right corner, there are option like new frame copy/paste frame, below there is convert to timeline. Click on it. See if it works.
