First prepare some effects in topaz and save them, make many different effects. like one to outline the details, one to soften them and so on.

Then start applying them on your siggies/Gifs

If you want to use them on a gif then it's better if you make an action for it otherwise it will take ages before you complete your gifs

And About Rafaheli, well she is the best in this stuff and i personally don't know what she does with them.

I just shut my PS down and i'm not going to open it again because its takes too much time.

But if you want i can suggest you few settings.

Even the saving settings are important, I'll find them out and tell you know.

First of all you need high quality pictures. Beacause if the quality is not good then the effect will be not good.

So let's start.

If you hava topaz:

set the pictures accordingly to your taste.

Then apply Topaz, you need to play with Topaz's setting to get the desired effect.

And normally after applying Topaz you don't need to use other filters, adjust the curves, the colors and do aother needed adjustments, but still if you want to apply something you can dublicate your siggies, change the bland mode in overlay and then put some gaussian blur(stay between 3.8-5) to the layer in overlay mode.

You also need to decrease the opacity and fill percentage accordingly to your taste.

If you don't have Topaz:

Sharpen your siggy. I try to use Sharpen filter

then duplicate your siggy

go to filter--->Others--->high Pass

you will get a gray layer

now with the gray layer select

go to image--->adjustment--->invert

now change the mode of your gray siggy from normal to soft light and then decrease the opacity and fill percentage accordingly to your taste.
