I have to ask two things so yeah, bear with me 😛

1) how to get this kind of glow in pictures?

-Credit to maker-

I know Topaz is used but I've tried a lot with different settings but can't get the clear bright and soft effect.

my edits end up like this, and it spoils the look of the sig 😭

2) how do you keep the lips red like this?

I know this picture has the same kind off glow but I want to know how to keep those lips red even after coloring it that way?

I use only two three effects present in Topaz

DeGrunge works perfectly on almost all the pics, it helps in softening them

the following settings works all almost all the pics. If they don't then you have to change a little bit the parts that i have put in red.

And now coming to how to preserve the red of the lips, it all depends on the colors settings.

These are the pics that i have edited to explain it to you 😆 i hope i'll manage to explain it to you, it's really simple, once you got the way it doesn't took to much to make them, 2 to 3 minutes is the max.

Okay on the first two pics i have done this:

1) applied Topaz, DeGrunge effect

2) duplicated the layer and change the mode from normal to overlay

3) with the second layer select go in Image-->Adjustements--> selective colors (you have to decrese all the colors except for those colors which makes the Red color more visible, which means, you have to descrase the yellow, the cryn and sometimes Magenta too. Increase and decrease in order to have the red color as the dominate one, check the lips while doing so.

4) marge the two layers together

5) go in Image-->Adjustements--> Varitions and do the needed changes, i usally preffer to just light the pic.

You can stop here if you want or put other effects like gussian blur to give a glowmy effect to the pic.

Anotherway

1) applied Topaz, DeGrunge effect

2) duplicated the layer and change the mode from normal to overlay and do the changes that you want to make, like Varitions, selective colors and other than marge the layers together.

3) apply black and white effect

4) put a mask on the black and white layer effect

5) with a soft brush of black color and the mask selected go on the lips and magically the lips from black will turn into red or pink, the color they were before you turned your pic black or of any other color.
