Okay friends! First tutorial!

First off- Let's make sure we all have the same settings on our PowerPoint. I hope that we all have similar versions, otherwise not everyone will be able to do some things.

-Open up PowerPoint. Go to the Drop Down Menu at the top of the screen and click on VIEW. From there choose TOOLBARS. Make sure you have the following toolbars selected: STANDARD, FORMATTING, DRAWING, OUTLINING, TASK PANE.

-Later we might explore other tool bars and their uses, but these are the ones we want for now. If the toolbars pop up in the middle of the screen, simply move them over to the side of the screen or bottom of the screen and they will automatically attach themselves to the edge. To move them click on the top blue bar of each tool bar and then just slide your mouse around.

Now that we are all on the same page, lets get started!

-You might want to add the following sites to your Favorites! These are sites where I get Glitter Tiles and Glitter Graphics from. Don't worry, you are allowed to use them as long as you don't say that you made them yourself. Simply put in your shop, like I have done in mine, a line saying that you get your glitters from the following websites and list the websites.

This site is where you can find numerous tiny glitter tiles:

http://www.wtv-zone.com/aylana/bringontheglitter/bringontheg litter-1.html

You can find many large, beautiful glitter tiles here:

http://auburn_angel1.tripod.com/aagraphics/id16.html

You can find various glitter graphics here:

http://glitter-graphics.com/

-You may find your own sites, but be careful because several glitter graphic sites have some 🤬 graphics.

Ok- today we will learn how to make one of the Signatures I put in my samples. Another day we will cover a different style of Signature. This way you can follow along step by step and use your own pictures. Furthermore, you can see how and what tools I use. Its really simply once you figure it out. Most of you probably know how to do these things but just never thought of trying them on Sig Making.

We will make the following Sig today and learn how to add glitter borders and make pictures Black and White:

1- Choose your pics! Try to pick LARGE pictures that are CLEAR. Go for pictures that are at least 300 x 300 pixels.

2- Copy and Paste all of your pictures onto a blank slide on PowerPoint. If you find that there are Text and Title boxes already on your slide, simply right click on the edges of them and choose CUT. Now your slide should be blank. OR- look at the large toolbar on the right side- it should show thumbnails of various slide designs. Choose the one that shows a blank slide. Then all the text boxes will be automatically removed. Now- to add new slides to your presentation, just go to the left side of the screen where you should see a thumbnail of the slide you are working on. Click on it once and it should be highlighted in blue. Hit ENTER and a new slide will be created. To go back to your old slide, just click on the thumbnail of it.

3- Choose one picture that will be your background picture. In my case for the Sig above, I chose the picture of Juhi and Hussain with their noses touching to be my background picture. Your background picture should be large and clear. If its somewhat small, you can enlarge it. To enlarge it, simply click on the picture. Four little circles should appear on the corners of the picture. Click on one circle and drag your mouse away from your picture. Your picture should get bigger the further away you drag your mouse. You should move your background picture to the center of the slide and make it big enough so that there is about 1 inch of blank space on the slide on either side of it. There should be half an inch of blank space on the slide on the top and bottom of it.

4- Now we will make your background picture black and white! Click on the picture. The picture toolbar should appear. It will have symbols like a mountain with a sun, a black and white circle, a sun, etc. Click on the icon on the picture tool bar that looks like this: This is the COLOR Tool. A menu should appear. Select GRAYSCALE. Your picture should automatically turn into Black and White!

5- Now we will work with the smaller pictures that will go on the the background picture. Create a New Slide (I described how to do this above) Copy and Paste your small pictures onto the new slide. Try to make all the pics the same size. You can crop them or simply resize them or do both! To crop your pictures: Click on the picture, once again the picture tool bar will appear. Click on the icon that looks like this: This is the CROP Tool. Now black bars should appear around your picture. Take your mouse and click on the bars and move your mouse inward into the picture. Let go or your mouse and the picture will be cropped. Feel free to resize and crop however you want. Just make sure all your pics are about the same size.

6- Okay, Time for adding Glitter borders! Go to the the first or second website I listed. Browse through the glitters, find the colors you like, etc. Once you have chosen your glitters, copy and paste them onto PowerPoint on the same slide that you are working on the small pictures. To copy and paste the glitters, simply right click on them and choose copy. Then right click on your slide on PowerPoint and hit PASTE.

7- Now make sure you move all of your pics to one side and keep the one you are working with in the center. Paste glitter tiles all around it. Its ok if the glitter tiles overlap onto the picture. Try to keep them in a straight line. After you have pasted glitter tiles on one side, you can copy the whole row of glitter tiles and paste it on the other side! Simply draw a box around the glitter tiles only using your mouse- you have to click down on a blank part of the slide and drag your mouse so that you create a box around all the tiles. Then let go and all the glitter tiles should be selected. Next hold your mouse over the tiles and right click and choose copy. Then right click the some blank area of the slide and choose paste. The row of glitter tiles should appear. Hold your mouse over the row of tiles and drag them into place. Make sure that when you hold your mouse over them that the cursor is in the shape of a plus sign, if its not, move it around on the tiles until you find a section where it is a plus sign. If you ever mess up simply go to the EDIT drop down menu at the top of the screen and choose UNDO. To make it easier on yourself when you are adding glitter tiles to the left and right sides of the picture, turn the tiles sideways! To do this click on the tile and along with the little white circles, one green circle should appear. Click on it and turn your mouse. The tile should turn. Turn it so that it is a complete 90 degree turn. Then paste it onto the side of the picture. Eventually you should have the picture bordered with tiles. Now right click on the picture. From the menu that appears, choose ORDER, then BRING TO FRONT. Now your picture should look something like this without the black:

8- Now we are gonna fix the border so it is nice and even all around! Draw a box around everything so that all the glitter tiles and the pic are selected!! To do this- Simply click on a blank space on the slide and hold your mouse down as you draw a box around everything. Let go of the mouse and then right click over the picture and save it! It does not matter what file you save it in or name,etc- Just SAVE it! Then insert the pic! Thats right- Insert the pic your just save. To insert a picture go to INSERT at the top of the screen- select PICTURE and then select FROM FILE. Then find your pic and insert it. Now we will crop the edges so the the glitter border is clean and straight. Click on the inserted pic and select the CROP tool from the picture menu. Crop around the egdes leaving a nice glitter border that is the same width around the whole pic. You can make the glitter border as wide as you want.

HERE IS A TIP!!! The closer your pic is to the edge of the slide, the harder it is to crop small amounts. I dont know why, but if you place your pic in the center of the slide, you can crop in smaller amounts

So now your pic should look like this:

8- Repeat the process for adding borders with all of your smaller pictures!! If your pictures are the same size, you can make it easier. Once you have added the border to one picture and saved it. Remove the first picture from the center and place the 2nd one there. And save it. Remove the 2nd one and place the 3rd on there and save it! And so on...That way you dont have to keep making a new glitter border for each one. You can also do different color borders for each of your pics- do whatever you like!

9- Once you have cropped all the saved pictures, copy and paste them onto your background picture that is on the 1st slide. Move the smaller pics around and place them as you choose on the background picture. You can make them tilt to one side by clicking on the green circle I talked about earlier. If you want one picture to overlap over another simply right click on the picture and choose ORDER, then choose whichever option you want.

10- After you have all the tiny pictures where you want them- add the glitter border to the whole thing! Do it the same way you did the smaller pics. You can even add a second color to the border as well. All you have to do is once you have laid down the first set of tiles, come back next to them with the 2nd set. Don't worry about overlapping the tiles.

Now, fix the glitter border of the whole signature the same way you did the smaller pictures by saving, inserting, and cropping! All done except for one thing! Add your text using wordart! If you dont know how to use word art, please PM with your questions.

Also, when you save your whole signature to upload it, you must resize the signature and make it around 3 inches by 2 inches because when you upload it, the signature will become like 3 times its original size.

Thats all! If anything confused your or I didn't explain something well, please PM with your personal questions!

Thanks and take care! Tomorrow I will do a tutorial on the Film Strip Siggy if I get time.😊

Take Care
