For once we all seem to be in consensus that Astha is going overboard and indeed she is!
Like someone said Simran's patience is a little unconvincing and irritating.
God I hope this doesn't turn into another Piya ka Ghar...don't watch it but have heard that it's very absurd.

Is Kiran going to tell Astha that she is her mother??? where did this come from?think I have missed something.
Didn't get that impression.
Kiran,I think is going to tell Astha the same lies she told Neha about Simran.Given the circumstances at that time it was only natural for Neha to believe everything.Simran was interfering at that time. But she had kept away from Kiran and Abhi.

I think wawa made a very valid point....they now need to sit down and tell asthu everything, just like they did with sia...unfortunately, abhi is now against it - it seems he doesn't want to lose asthu's respect.
When they were telling sia, simran stopped him telling abt kiran, but he continued for the sake of honesty...I think the same strategy would work here, but unfortunately he don't think so....

anyway, well said wawahehe

I guess it is high time Simran and Abhi take charge of their lives and stop being pawns of their dauthers, Sia got them married and astha wants to destroy the marriage?
Very funny. I do not know if this happens in real life. Since whendid daughters have so much control over their parents life.

Real Story line upto what limit!!!!!!!!!!
Real time father of the real Character Simran might have gone mad over his own daughter's blunders.....I WONDER HOW HE WOULD HAVE FACED THE SOCIETY.......ITS GOOD TO WATCH A REEL SERIAL BUT VERY HARD TO BELIEVE REAL TIME EVENTS LIKE THIS.......

Dalals, this definitely does not happend in the real life. Not sure if most of the stuff and characters being shown exist in the real life except for Sinha's village in Bihar (read Sinha's interview that his serial is based upon real life incidents).

Yo wawa! do u have the link to this interview by any chance?

cheers

Hey II ,
Can't remember the link to Ajai Sinha's interview.
But I remember him saying that certain characters and scenes were influenced by real life people he knows.
He claimed to know an IAS officer who was very scared of dogs and used that in a scene where Saurabh takes his morning walk.
He also mentioned that he is a civil engineer, living in Mumbai for many years and changed his profession for the love of direction and film making.
Don't remember any reference to Bihar.(mentioning it for your reference...did get Wahwah's sarcasm)
It's the audience who started to relate different characters to real life and incidents and have the same expectations even now. That's why these days everything seemd far fetched. They are making a serial for money you know, not a documentary on illicit relationships.

We should stop seeking too much realism in these soaps.
Astitva is definitely much better than most other current soaps.Read somewhere that it's the most popular show overseas, along with Sa Re Ga Ma Pa.
I know what I have written is mostly irrelevant in this post.
Didn't want to start another topic on Ajai Sinha.
Shall send you the link if I remember.

Cheers

Hey II

Here's an excerpt from Sinha's interview.
Art Imitates Life?

In Hasratein, there were Savi, Shyam and KT. In Justujoo, there were Leela, Lalit and Neerja. And now, in Astitva - Ek Prem Kahani, we have Simran, Abhi and Manas. All their serials have been relationships-oriented. When asked whether the relationships portrayed in his serials have any personal relevance, Ajai thoughtfully said: "Most of the characters portrayed in my serials are always somewhere around me. Some are part of my life; some are from incidents that I have heard of. But, now these characters have become a very dear part of my life."

For a detailed interview go to Shaadi.com
You will come across a column,Made for each other.

What I mentioned in my earlier reply was from another interview.
