Am glad to know you had fun during your wedding!! That's great! I too don't believe that just because a girl gets married, she becomes Pariah to her parents or that they can't be close anymore as they show in most of these serials..😡 Can definitely speak for myself - in fact I am even closer to my mother after marriage. lol.

The poem brought tears to my eyes.. I loved it and the most touching line was about being 18 and leaving the nest. I wish I could write this well.

at the cost of sounding repititive, Akshata -- you sure write well!! Fantastic idea for a gift for your son -- collage + verse from the heart -- super. I hope your son treasure's his gift. Aksh, i am glad and happy that I am back right on time, to read your wonderful poem and appreciate the same... I always knew you have great writing skills. I always knew that you are very poetic. This was one reason why I asked you to pen something about the serial Astitva earlier in this thread.

But, this poem for little Gaurav(can you call him that now??😃) was very touching. It moved me, almost brought tears to my eyes... I am late, but please do pass on My Best Wishes to him... Wish him a Very Happy Birthday, though it is belated... May God bring Success and Happiness in His Life. He is lucky to have got a mother like you. You are also lucky to have a son like him... So Congrats to you both....
