Hi Kruti,
Congrats on being a MOW!! I logged in and it was nice to see your name - more so since we have exchanged PMs in the past.. 😃

Does your fiance also work in the same field? How did you get to meet him first? Was it love at first sight?

What are the books you read? Which ones are your favourite? I know you liked Enid Blyton Books growing up(remember that from my MOW thread 😊 ), which ones of hers do you like most?

I totally love our PM relationship also...

I am going to try to answer your questions one by one...

Does your fiance also work in the same field? No, he is in corporate sales but we have some common passions and interests

How did you get to meet him first? I needed to make friends so i told a friend of mine that i would like to meet new people...she misunderstood and set me up on a blind-date with Lynn. We met with him thinking its a date and me thinking that i was making a buddy!!

Was it love at first sight? We hit it off immediately...love in my opinion takes time...but ya, we did like each other right away.

What are the books you read? All the books by Erich Segal, Sidney Sheldon, Robin Cook, Morgan Llwellyn, Dan Brown, Louisa May Alcott, Oscar Wilde, and books about indian history and mythology.

Which ones are your favourite? O this is a tough one - it depends on my mood, i guess. When i am in high-achievement mode i prefer books that are about successful people (fiction or non); when in a dramatic mood books with a drama involved in the story, and so on...usually i read every book at least twice before deciding if i like it or not. I dont read any romance novels - stopped after high school i guess. But my favorite book of all time was a romance called "P.S. - I love you" by Barbara Conklin - a teen-boppy romance...😆

I know you liked Enid Blyton Books growing up(remember that from my MOW thread 😊 ), which ones of hers do you like most? I liked the "Enchanted forest" series and "The Naughtiest girl" series very much.

Hi Rajnee

Congrats on being MOW 👏 Thank you 😊

My questions:

How do u spend your weekends? Usually, i work all friday night, wake up late sat morn and then go out and run all my errands like groceriy shopping, etc, hang out with lynn in the evening and work all night. On Sundays i wake up late, hang out with lynn for a loooooong coffee, and later finish whatever errands i might have missed on Sat. Sun night is back to work...

Do u like to cook? what is ur fav dish? I am not very fond of cooking because i am obsessive about cleaning the kitchen before and after cooking and cutting everything in the same sizes - so it usually is a long committment to cook. I dont cook more than twice a week tops. But i love to eat 😆 and my favorite dish is okra/bhindi vegetable and homemade paratha (we call it 'bhakhri' in gujarati).

Do you have plans on bringing up your child/children? I love children very much but i am not sure if i want any of my own. Lynn would like to have kids at some point in his life (5-10 years down the road) so we are still arguing over that 😃. If i do have kid(s) i would probably take them to india to raise them...but it all depends on what the circumstances are. I just dont want my kids growing up speaking my language as a foreign language, i guess.

I like painting when i am doing it as a gift for someone. I usually express my feelings through writing and relax by cross-stitiching. But it is therapeutic, you are right! I am sooooo amateur when it comes to painting/sketching that participating in an exhibition is out of the question. Also, i prefer to take a good painting and create a likeness probably because i lack the confidence or imagination to come up with something original. But Lynn does beautiful paintings. He has participated in a few corporate exhibitions but with work he has not had much time to spend on painting of late . Have you ever had an exhibition of your paintings? Do you have a website? If so please PM the link to me 😊

Hi Kruti,

I enjoyed reading your questions and yes, I enjoy my PMs with you too 😃

You once said that you don't mind moving back to India once you are well established in your career so you an get a good job in India too. Is Lynn OK with that? Has he visited India? From what you say, he seems to be a well rounded individual who has had exposure to different cultures, so I guess that won't be an issue.. But wanted to know about it more in detail. 😃

When are you planning on getting married? After you complete your PhD?

What is it that you like best in your profession?

Do you read and write Gujrati?
